Hello, I was hoping to receive some advice on quitting Oxycodone. I started taking about 2.5-5mg of Oxycodone every couple days roughly two months ago. For the last two weeks I've been taking about 5mg 1 to 2 times a day. I'm about 12 hours in from my last dose. Will I experience any withdrawal symptoms? What natural supplements can I take to reduce them? Thanks.

2 months. 5mg's. You might have a little hard time sleeping but other than that you will be fine. As for natural supplements I have no experience with gel caps of herbs.

peace.

As crazy as it may sound I was doing 5mg oxycodone (at minimum) and up to 50-60mg OxyContin at most, and I remember withdraw, which I thought was bad at the time, 2 years later, $50k (at least[this # really scares me]) in heroin in my arm, and now I KNOW a bad withdraw

Expect the worst and hope for the best. Symptoms will probably be predominantly psychological, like low-level depression and a desire to take more oxy; however, those can be the hardest type of withdrawal symptoms to deal with for some people. I'd take the achy, exhausted flu-like symptoms of physical withdrawal to the mental cravings, low mood and obsessive thinking of psychological withdrawal any day. Everyone's different.

If you're worried about physical symptoms, have some Imodium on hand for the GI issues and a sedative like kava, valerian or Benadryl for anxiety and insomnia. Weed and benzos are always good, but can lead to problems of their own if used excessively.

benzos would probly be the most helpful, get 3 xanax bars or a ouple valiums and take them over the 3 days you're detoxing, thats not long enough to develop a benzo habit and that will cure the anxiety and insomnia at that low of a dose you really shouldn'thave too many gi issues but if you are worried about nausea get some promethazine that'll take care of it.
