I am just wondering if anyone knows whether nerves and anxiousness actually reduce seretonin levels.
The reason I bring this up is because I am getting pretty excited about an event coming up in the next few days, and at work today I started feeling a bit of a nervous buzz about the weekend. It sort of felt like I was experiencing the early, early stages of a come-on of a pill.
This has happened before. I have been really excited about an event, getting this buzz, even getting a little sleepless the nights leading up to it. And then, when I go to take my bikkies, I don't get as fried as everyone else. (These were green armani's too people, don't try to tell me the gear could have been no good).
The times when I have been most severely mashed have been times when I hadn't planned on rolling, yet the situation arose on the night (hence no anxious feelings beforehand).
So I guess what I'm trying to say is - Is it possible that being overly excited about something actually lead to early seretonin depletion in the days leading up to when you drop, leaving you with little left on the night. Or is this just bollocks?
Anyway, I'm off to find somewhere to calm down.
