Natural MAO-B inhibitors?

that sounds like something weight cutting meat heads would be interested in, though.

I wonder if amphetamine's euphoria is half as good glued to the can?

The section starting Anethum Graveolens and going through Acorus Calamus is a bit dubious. I wouldn't expect any significant MAO inhibition with any of these except perhaps as competitive inhibitors. This is the same sense in which any substrate would be an inhibitor (DMT or amphetamine, for instance).

I also sort of doubt macromerine is an MAOI in the sense that is really meant. You would think so with the 4-methoxy group, but given that it's listed as 1/5th the potency of mescaline, it's obviously not inhibiting MAO very much, or you'd expect some of it to inhibit MAO so the rest of the dose could work as a psychedelic.

Piperine is odd. Some studies show it only elevates serotonin levels, and not all that strongly, but others show it inhiibits MAO A and B and rather potently.

Catechins are the most selective natural inhibitors. Gingko biloba affects both A and B.

to date i do not think i have seen any naturally occurring substrate inhibit MAO-B to a degree that is of real significance at any dose

many are reputed to, but none that I have seen in practice actually appear to

some look real good on paper, but real world did not translate

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but what sort of risk would you be if u accidently combined passion flower with a stimulant like mephedrone, i had some in herbal sleeping pills maybe 10 hours before meph and have alot of Serotonin syndrome symptoms just not severely or anything.

Norharmane and harmane are both MAO inhibitors, one is rather MAO-A selective, the other one rather B-selective. I actually cant't remember which one acts in what.

I take nardil at the moment, only med that has ever worked for my depression and anxiety. Any thoughts on whether a combo of various natural maois may augment or potentiate each other which I could replace nardil with?

Rhodiola is a natural MAO-AB inhibitor, although weak...it works well with PEA and black coffee on an empty stomach.

Other than that, Deprenyl (Selegiline) is an effective MAO-B irreversible blocker but I'd avise extreme caution with that....I OD'd on PEA that way and it was quite unpleasant.....thank God for Xanax and Valium.

However, deprenyl is not a natural derived MAO-B inhibitor, which is what this thread is about.

isn't yerba mate an MAOI? dunno if it's A or B, but I definitely can feel its maoi properties after a few cups.
