Good morning dark side

Im just curious if anyone has had any luck with and herbs to help with anxiety??

Also anyone ever take St Johns Wart????

My story Im 12 days off dope but the anxiety hasnt gone away, Please hep thanks!

Valerian root is nicknamed "natures valium" cuz of its anxiolytic properties. Don't know what country you're in but in the UK and Ireland they sell valerian root extract over the counter in pharmacies and health food shops. If one knows what to look for, one can find all sorts of useful substances sold over the counter. Those Chinese herb vendors have a huge variety of different herbs, many of which would probably be regulated if the government paid more attention to what these vendors are selling. A couple of examples are blue lotus and skullcap. If kava is legal in your country then I recommend ordering it over the internet and giving it a try.

Kratom worked the best for me. Just don't abuse it.

And expect that Anxiety/Boredom lost feeling to stick around for a little while since that's what PAWS does.

I take an adrenal support supplement for a month or so once in a while, which can be helpful for stress. Has a mixture of things like siberian ginseng, licorice root, ashwaganda, rhodiola, some vitamins. It's not really something that can provide immediate relief but it can help to make you more resistant to stress in general.

You should see a Naturopath- especially if you are on medications b/c some herbs can interfere with the meds.........

The suggestion of Valerian is good b/c it works well, prescribed in parts of Europe rather than a benzo.
You might have a look though the TONICS thread, Anxiety Mega Thread, the How do you Cope with Anxiety? thread, and you could also do your own search (maybe look at Healthy Living).

I would really read up on anything before taking it b/c everything affects people differently.

Dope changes your brain. The amount of time you took dope will probably be the same amount of time that it will take for your brain to return back to normal. See a therapist for this. They SPECIALIZE in these things. They can give you a good anxiety medication that will help your brain return back to normal in a shorter period of time. Self medication is not the way to go. I can tell you this from experience.

They call it recovery for a reason :)

I use a dietary supplement called Relax-All with phenibut. It had calcium, magnesium, valerian root, magnolia bark, L-Theanine, Phenibut, and some other goodies. It works well as long as there was no previous benzo tolerance. Its ok to use 5-7 days in a row but no more. Very calming and good muscle relaxing properties. Works well with 5-HTP too. Good combo for relaxing.

somebody mentioned that valerian is like natures valium, it is in a weird way,
but i also read that forgive my ignorance on the terminology
but i think it is a precursor for making depakote, an anti~convulsant/mood stabilizer

valerian with kava helps my anxiety, and eases the benzo urge a little bit
the first week it worked great,
then it kinda stopped. so i chilled with it during the day and wait before bed before i indulge
i make a double dose of tea, some kava, and chamomile, and that usually knocks me out good
theres also a tea i get at a portuguese store that helped with anxiety
but at the moment i forget the name,

but if im feeling sketchy restless and anxious i'll indulge in a little tea ceremony
whenever i feel its necessary.

but these are all very mild

i think forcing yourself to exercise, make art, hang with friends, even talking to friends and family on the horn, listening to music, cleaning,
reorganizing a room, seem to help me pass the time and sketchy feelings
better than the tea and kava ~

my herbal trifecta before bed, seems to help, me sleep soundly, it makes indifferent to television so i just lay in the dark with my head on the pillow my thoughts begin to drift on all sorts of trippy shit, and then im asleep and dreaming.

but im coming from the angle of benzo tapering and w/d caused anxiety

oh yea and some quality green tea, not supermarket crap but find the good goood stuff, very relaxing i think come to think about it i need more tea bags
