Good shit PFF. 5% is a good raise nowadays. My yearly review is next month and I'm hoping for 4.

I could get excited over a smaller pay increase than that. Any raise is a good raise. Congratulations.

Wake up fuckers

I'm awake but not by choice. In other news, I don’t have school for the rest of the week. I need a lot more herb and in a hurry.

Well, while it is exciting to get my title changed and to get a raise, I have actually been doing all the work for this 'new title' for the last year and a half, they are just now getting around to calling me what I am and paying me for it. I've been fighting for this title change since september of last year.

It's still all good though, they can rest assured that I won't be leaving any time soon. I did throw that card on the table, "do what is right for me or I'm going to leave". Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I’ve had to pull that card before but only when I meant it. I tip my hat because that line will either work or end tragic. I think it was a good call; because, when you get to that point it’s a win-win: you get your money or a chance to find an employer that appreciates you and your hard work.

I’m gonna blaze one in honor of your huge balls and their victory.

I always leave a back door in the main system so if they tried to fire my ass after I asked for a raise or I am moving to a place where I can move up in a company..... sometimes that ended with my ass fired, escorted out the building without even able to get my stuff at my desk.... I would laugh be like you think kicking me outside will protect shit, pull out my smart phone, tunnel into a wireless connection & have fun in the system ;) I would be called back to work soon after ..... I worked in HelpDesk... But my programmer friends did the same shit with programming..... We called it Job Security

My current employer knows for a fact I can walk out his door today and have a new job I'm the morning. It puts in a very good position.

More employers should value their good employees. It's a hell of a lot cheaper, a less hassle, to throw an existing employee a bone once in awhile than it is to bring someone from off the street to train to do the same job. I didn't want to leave, I like my job and the people I work with and for, but at the end of the day, I work for an 18+ billion dollar a year company, they don't need my charity for working at a rate that is less than I'm worth. My VP asked me "well, where would you go" and my reply was basically "anywhere, maybe somewhere internally or somewhere externally". I'm not a dumbass, I'm actually fairly intelligent and I can adapt to different environments. I wasn't scared for a second.

I'm just glad that they did the right thing. I've never been afraid of standing up for myself and sometimes you definitely need to.

Do some people call you maurice?

And yeah I did that once too. I put in my two weeks without saying a word at 5pm on a friday, walked out and went home. Came in on monday and nobody would talk to or even look at me. Then about an hour later they called me into the back room and did everything short of sucking my dick to keep me. It was actually hillarious how desparate they sounded like they knew they fucked up. Sucks I'm getting the exact opposite treatment now. They're making it obviously clear that nobody would mind too much if I left but they don't want to fire me either. Sucks being disposable and not good at your new job that was forced upon you. I've always been good at whatever I do, now I'm about as average as I can get, maybe even slightly more on the unproductive side.

Anywho, what else is up you big bunch of fucks?

Been 2 years since my surgery. Hit the gym this morning. I seem to forget that I can't move as well as I used to very easily. What's up fuckers?

Goooooood morning you wonderful rays of sunshine!!

Reckless, what kind of work are you doing now?

What's good memphis? Going to the gym, or starting any workout routine is brutal in the beginning, I can only imagine how much worse it is with the back issues. Start slow man.

It's not bad actually...I went with my father who is a workout fanatic but he's old so I went with his exercise routine and kept up pretty well. I know that's like "pussy" to anybody else...you know being 26 and having a hard time keeping up with a 64 year old man but all things considered I think it's pretty good for be...my dad may be 64 but he's worked out everyday of his life since I can remember so that's saying something , he could keep up with any 30 year old beside on lifting so I don't feel terrible about that.

I don't think you have anything to feel bad about. Everyone has to start somewhere and keeping up with someone who works out regularly is awesome. Kudos man!

Now that I'm back in the land of hills and mountains I plan on doing some serious hiking. It was hard to get decent cardio (running was horrible due to allergy induced asthma, thrown on top of getting sick every time I ran) living where I was because I lived in a valley where the land was pretty flat, there was no resistence at all.
