im not going to get into the debate about it but i think its foolish to think video games have no effect on the young. kids do play those games and become disillusioned with the violence and acts in said game. i have seen it first hand. my little cousin who is like 10 years old started playing GTA when he was like 6 (my aunt is a drunk who doesnt care for her child psychologically) he has no real grip on violence and its effects...he just thinks its cool. he has said to me "one day i want to get a gun and go rob and shoot hookers like in GTA" this is also the same kid that was running around his house with a real pistol.
again, im not going to get into a debate about it but would it really hurt anyone if they got a little tighter on video game violence?
and yes i understand that the argument of "your aunt is a terrible parent" is there and while i agree i still say that violence in video games has gotten a little out of hand. at the very least we need to make stricter laws against who can obtain these games.^ I thought they put ratings on the games like they put stickers on albums so only 18 and up can buy them?
I played the shit out of Mario brothers when I was young and I never had any aspirations to be a plumber or jump on turtles.

i've been playing violent video games since i can remember. so has everyone i've ever played them with, which is a lot of fucking people. we aren't out shooting/stabbing people.. stalking them.. plotting murder.. abusing our families.. if you're going to make an argument like this you also need to make it for movies, music, books.. really, anything that can lead your mind to a perhaps violent, but VERY imaginary, place.
kids aren't shooting other kids because they've played call of duty gun game too many times. they do it because they're fucking crazy.
and yeah, your aunt is a shitty parent. i'd be less concerned about the video games he's playing and more concerned about his mental health. which as far as i'm concerned is the actual issue here.
they do put ratings on video games. however, i've never in my life seen anyone get ID'd while buying one. plus today a very large part of the gamer community (myself included) get everything online which has basically no restriction whatsoever.

to be hionest man im not the biggest fan of that tatt artist..those lines do not look that straight and why couldnt you fuy finish in one sitting? i only had 1 tat take more then one sitting and that was the portrait i have which took like 7hours total but ive had to sit 4+ hours getting drilled on my shin and by the time he was done my leg was twitching by itself and i had to eat at the resturant nextdoor cause i was exhausted and had to reenergize for my drive home cause the pain at the end and the adrenaline i had going from the beginning wore me out...but your tat doesnt look too big and it looks just black and grey, so why didnt he finish, you never really want to get multiple sessions on one tat

Memphis, maybe kids that young shouldn't play GTA but, there's ratings for that. Anyways the influence of virtual violence wasn't even my full point. When the Sandy Hook thing happened the news groups jumped all over the name of the shooter and first thought it was the guys brother. Right off the bat they went to his facebook page and started talking about how the guy plays video games so there must be a connection. The game in question was either Starcraft 2 or Mass Effect 3. One's a top down RTS and the other a first person RPG. Both involve aliens, lasers and sci-fi fantasy. It just seems like they're really stretching the video game thing there.
Video games aren't 8 bit Mario Bros. anymore. They're quickly becoming a legit media for people and people use them like they do movies, books or any form of media. I'm not saying Call of Halo : Modern Battlefiled is on par with Mark Twain or something but, I don't think it should just be dismissed with " I don't see why we can't tone it down". I'm an adult who does not live in North Korea and I'll play my adult games, watch my adult movies and occasionally read an adult book. Saying that your nephew learned of violence from a game is hardly different to me than if he got his hands on 50 shades of gray and what might happen from that. We certainly won't be toning books down just in case kids might read them.
Just to be clear I'm not knocking your aunt. I see no problem with a kid playing a shooter because I truly believe that the people shooting up schools have a lot more going on wrong with them than the games they might have played.There are games that might have too much sex for a young kid though.

it was like 2 in the mornin and everyone was high as fuck so we just said fuck it and do it later. I traded an oz of bud for 1000$ worth of ink not just that tat but 4 other ones hes gonna do for me. He's a homeboy. and it will look better with color and the rest im doing to it for real. I know the lines are a little off but like i said not finished and basically free and its actually pretty big. Full shoulderblade to the spine and to the top of my shoulder its big really.^^my suggestion since he is doing alot more serious work on you and they are going to be prominent and not on your ass where no one sees it, dont get them done at 2am..12-2pm i think is the best, be his first and need be it only client of the day if possible to get them fresh and not burned out cause youre the 9th hour and 4th person they tatted that day. i would also say, dont let him be high but then again smoking weed enhances the artistic juices so maybe that wouldnt be a bad idea. but only if hes that type or smoker, if hes a burned out pot head a-la tommy chong on that 70s show, i wouldnt even get the ink finished lol
i just saw a study today that 3/4 boys are diagnosed with ADHD nowadays and that might be partially the problem withsome of these kids. the oversensitive paretns and the doctor visits lead to them getting scripted pills and early. so when you accostomed to poppin pills for your adhd, whats gonna stop you from poppin that prozac or whatever they put you on when mommy takes you in cause your now a teen and dont want to hang out with the family and thats something completly out of character..so they give you a pill to cure away your teenage blues and really its just fuckin wit hthe kids head..maybe he had a bad LSD or boomner trip and cant look a the world the same or maybe like in sandy hooks case the kid has a mental disability like autism...then again maybe the reason they shoot up these schools is cause they arenbt taking those pills?
to me its all the same..they had mass killings and school shooting back in the 70s and 80s and actually its gone down from what it was in the early 90s..its just sandy hook sticks out so much cause its little kids but we are only 3 weeks into the year and there has already been 5 shootings at schools. youre not gonna stop the crazy from killing. if they want to kill, they will no matter what..and if you had your choice would pick up the butcher knife to take to school or the 9mm with a 15round clip and 3extra fully loaded mags? guns dont kills people do, dumb motherfuckers with guns kill people, its the owners responsibility to know where their weapon is at at all times. not the governments.
the only thing i dont like about all this "gun control" talk is i dont know how i feel about our government being the onkly ones with high powered/high caliber weapons(like assult rifles)..we only had a civil war 150years ago and that wasnt the first one cause we had one about 90years before that with the revolutionary war. so the US having another civil war isnt completly unheard of. also look at whats happening in africa and the middle east for the past 50years. they have so many militias and gurillas armythat are trying to over throw the government that its still 2013 over there, so why couldnt that same shit happoen here? and with saying that, then i really dont know how i feel about our gov. being the only one with the assult weapons. this shit nt only happened 150,250,2000years ago, its happening right now and could happen here.

Chinky, I'm surprised that you didn't mention gun control and Chicago. Chicago has one of the strictest gun and even knife laws in the country. Do you think there'd be more or less violence if average people were carrying? Chicago may be the perfect model for how gun control doesn't work.

Yea he's that type of smoker where he's gotta smoke to get it flowing, and he didnt work that day it was a late night just lets go to the shop and get some shit done so we did. But he said he can see it too and said he'd touch it up for me this next week. Since its on my back im not super fucked up about little lines being off but yea i want it better and he's got me taken care of. I have the best bud around so the trade is gonna work out for me real well with how much work hes bout to put in on me. What its gonna end up being is having a turbo spool run into the VW then coils/springs/engine parts shoulder sleeve down to about mid bicep . And his portfolio hes done a shit ton of things with engine parts cause hes a pro freestyle snowmobile rider when hes not tatting. Sop i feel confident he can get it done.

I like to think this is what lefty is doing right now.
i'm not an american soldier but i've raised a rock wallaby that my mum found deserted on one of her morning runs in my highschool days. it must have fell out of it's mothers' pouch and she took off. it was a lot skinnier (malnourished) than that kangaroo picture but about the same height. it stayed with us for quite a while before taking back off into the wild, hopefully back to the local pack around here - we have kangaroos jumping through our yard as well.
Lucky was a little funny bugger especially with our dog. it would lean back on it's tail, much the same as a kangaroo attacks, and kick at our dog. they'd play fight all the time, was pretty funny.
i've got photos of mum bottle feeding him and a few other shots in a photo album. he was damn lucky to survive.
that is a great photo, though.

so i think ima give a micro dose mushroom regimine a go starting tommorrow. ~150mg a day for 10 days. i happen to have a 1.5g mushroom laying around n decided to put it to some use
ive just been having alot of trouble lately with depression and motivation lately n the only thing that get me goin for the day is to take my adderall, it doesnt make me happy persay but it just takes my mind away from negative/ destructive thoughts and allows me to accomplish stuff which in turn makes me feel better about myself, but that comes with a catch, sleep/good sleep eludes me without benzos and or alcohol n after 4-5 days of repeated amp usage i just feel drained. then i dont take any n i sleep too much and ill wake up after a long amount of sleep n dont feel like getting out of bed n sometimes ill sleep 10+ hours wake up have a cig n a piss n go right back to bed
so ive heard some good stuff bout using mushrooms on a consistent basis but in very small doses, n i was looking at others experiences today n decided id give it a go
i only smoke weed for about a week out of each month due to probation but this last week while smokin almost everytime i got high i just thought to myself i need to get right n i need to do it without drugs, as for the last few months i have been on a pretty steady diet of amps, alcohol, benzos, coke n occasional opiate usage, in that order according to prevelance
n it sucks cuz i just feel i need SOMETHING at every turn, at every moment of everyday, its also kind of a catch 22 (if im using the phrase correctly) cuz i decided i wanted to stop using drugs to cope while smoking weed, and the best solution i came up with was to use small doses of a different drug. dont get me wrong i feel weed n mushrooms are far less harmful then the 5 drugs ive been using most that i listed above but there is this part of me that knows drugs arent the answer n this other part that just doesnt know what the answer is and am desperate to try anything that might work.
ive definately considered eating right n excercise but then again i just am so unmotivated to do anything much of the time n with the adderall ill be motivated to excersise but then i dont eat which doesnt do much good, although the weight i have lost does improve self image for me
ill let yall know how the micro mushroom dose regimine works out, lets hope it helps.
