I got fairly drunk last night and stupidly took two naproxen tablets. I'm not sure of the dosage as it was in a prescription bottle. Are there any serious liver threats going on here like if I took APAP? Or is it just like ibuprofen? Apparently I also took phenylephrine in sudafed

Most naproxen dosages are 330mg, IIRC, that's what the brand name Aleve stuff comes in. Other formulations are available, so don't quote me on that.

Naproxen, being an NSAID, carries the usual warnings about combining with alcohol. There are risks with combining NSAIDs with alcohol, but APAP is by far the worst to combine.

Ibuprofen and naproxen are safer than APAP for the most part, naproxen has risks involving stomach ulcers, and these risks can be increased by excessive alcohol consumption.

Yes naproxen and ibuprofen are much safer on the liver than APAP. On the other hand ibu and naproxen pose a bigger risk of stomach bleeding and ulcers, especially when combined with alcohol. If you only took two tablets, I wouldn't be too worried. These problems typically arise after repeated, prolonged ingestion of said drugs when combined with alcohol.

As long as you don't take a shit load on a daily basis while drinking, you should be just fine.

Alright, definitely the news I was hoping for. I can deal with stomach ulcers, slow liver death not so much
