Name the best US presidents, and the most over rated...

More of Clinton's dishonesty

I don't believe you. I've never heard that before from anyone, left or right.

REALLY!!!?

You've never heard ANYONE on the left blame the military for 'dont ask, dont tell'? No offense, but do you actually pay attention to political issues?

They ALWAYS blame the military for 'Dont ask, Dont tell'! They have been doing it for years! I've seen and heard the progressive media blame the military for 'dont ask, dont tell' probably 200+ times in 15 years!

I just watched a real life crime drama on ID the other day, where a gay soldier in the late 90's had bested another soldier in a wrestling match or fight, and the next night, another soldier(an instigator) kept ribbing the soldier who got bested, saying "He kicked your ass, you got beat by a gay guy" etc. Then, once the soldier had drank 17 beers, he grabbed a baseball bat and went into the gay soldier's room, and beat him to death with it!

Afterwards, the military court found him guilty of 1st degree murder, and sentenced him to life in jail. Then, Bill Clinton comes out and says "This case shows us why the military needs to change 'ITS' bad policy of 'dont ask, dont tell', and it shouldve never been instituted to begin with" Well, it was Clinton who instituted it to begin with! With help from the Dem controlled congress!
So the media didnt correct him, and let him get away with this lie for years!

Just recently, after Robert "KKK" Byrd died, Clinton had the audacity to stand up in front of thousands of people, and media cameras, and claim that Byrd was NEVER really a racist! He went on to claim that Byrd only joined the KKK because the people of the south are just "good old boy, racists" who would only elect a senator who they thought was as racist as they were, so Robert Byrd joined the KKK only to get elected, then he put his racism behind him, and became a champion of civil rights! That is the biggest pile of dishonest crap I've seen in a while! Robert Byrd not only was a racist, he actually rose through the ranks in the KKK and became a "Grand Kliegel" and "Exalted Cyclops" whose job among other things was to recruit new racists for the KKK!
Over 20 years later, Byrd was filibustering civil rights in the senate, and also he filibustered 'anti-lynching' legislation! He was for segregating the military, and voted against both black supreme court judges!

Here's a quote from Byrd: He wrote in 1944, “I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side . . . Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds"

AND:

He subsequently wrote a letter to Grand Imperial Wizard Samuel Green advising him “on whom to appoint to important posts in the hierarchy of the hate group. . . Byrd urged, "the Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and ‘in every state in the Union:"

He even used the 'N' word on national TV twice in the last 10 years, and yet the media ignored it for the most part! Does this sound like a person who is/was a champion for black people? Does he NOT sound racist? Well, according to Clinton, he wasnt, and it was all done just to make all the racists in the south elect him! That propaganda is not only a lie, but it advances the dubious and dishonest stereotypes of the South by the American left!:!

Im just so tired of Clinton's lies, as well as race baiting and stereotyping!

Case in question: Barry Winchell.

your constant use of "!" makes your posts bothersome to read.

Byrd explicitly renounced his earlier views favoring racial segregation.[49][50] Byrd said that he regretted filibustering and voting against the Civil Rights Act of 1964[28] and would change it if he had the opportunity. He said joining the KKK was, "the greatest mistake I ever made."[49] Byrd also said that his views changed dramatically after his teenage grandson was killed in a 1982 traffic accident, which put him in a deep emotional valley. "The death of my grandson caused me to stop and think," said Byrd, adding he came to realize that black people love their children as much as he does his.[51]

Byrd was the only senator to vote against both Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas to the United States Supreme Court, the only two African-American nominees. In the former instance, Byrd asked FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover to look into what Byrd believed to be the possibility that Marshall had either connections to communists or had a communist past.[52] In the latter instance, Byrd stated that he was offended by Thomas' use of the phrase "high-tech lynching of uppity blacks" in his defense and that he was "offended by the injection of racism" into the hearing. He called Thomas's comments a "diversionary tactic", and said "I thought we were past that stage." Regarding Anita Hill's sexual harassment charges against Thomas, Byrd supported Hill.[53] Byrd joined 45 other Democrats in opposing Thomas.[54]

For the 2003-2004 session, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People(NAACP)[55] rated Byrd 100 percent compliant with the NAACP's position on the 33 Senate bills they evaluated. 16 other senators received that rating. In June 2005, Byrd proposed an additional $10 million in federal funding for the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, D.C., remarking that, "With the passage of time, we have come to learn that his Dream was the American Dream, and few ever expressed it more eloquently."[56]

No racists in government

your constant use of "!" makes your posts bothersome to read.

No offense meant by my use of an exclamation point. It is supposed to be used when you are showing strong emotion, especially when so many wrongs have been committed by the examples I gave, so I was/am angered by that. I'm not sure whether you dislike the exclamation points, or at the fact that I criticized Clinton and Byrd(?)

As far as Byrd FINALLY changing his mind and realizing that MAYBE black parents love their children too, I mean that in itself should offend people that he didnt realize that until '82.... I guess thats an excuse, but I wonder if you'd give the same excuse if it were a republican who was a LONG time racist?

I dont think that ANYONE who hated ANY group of people especially just because of the color of their skin, should be allowed to serve in ANY office
of our government.... Even if they claim to have changed their ways, I dont believe that a person who was truly as hateful of blacks as Byrd was, can change completely. Besides, if you were a member of a racist hate group, you shouldnt be allowed to run for office...There is no excuse for bigotry and racism, although the fact that he is a democrat seems to be excuse enough for some........

But my whole point wasn't about all that, it was about Clinton LYING about Byrd not being a racist, and getting away with it! Plus, he also advanced a horrible, untrue stereotype about people from the south mostly or all being racists.....

Oh yeah,
You mentioned the NAACP claiming that Byrd is 100% compliant with their beliefs and goals.
I have a better name for them: The NAADP(National association for the advancement of the Democratic party)

CTH: Never liked Clinton either. He is the stereotypical enemy sociopath politician. He lied alot, got away with alot, and was wrongly credited with the strong economy in the late 90s which burst and Bush inherited. He cut the size and made the military do with less resources but did have a prefernce for elite troops. He got us into more little wars than Reagan who I'll reiterate i consider the "Peace president." I believe that his impotent response to AQ, the seeds of discontent he sowed in Bosnia, and mismangement of the intelligence community and the Waco fiasco some how got swept under the rug of history as did his filandering- which he was stupid about being discrete and the finacial (white water) or whatever they called it. Bush, though I disagreed with alot of his policies cut taxes- I saw my meager paycheck get bigger and got a $600.00 stimulus check and I feel provided strong leadership during 911. the guy made mistakes but i think he is alot smarter than people thought, plus he seemed to put national security above the drug war to a greater extent than his predecessor- except for the medical MMJ raids. Bush took away freedoms through signing the treasonous PATRIOT ACT, ect, and I have alot of criticisms to go with his Bushisms but Obama, though I think he's a decent man, is surrounded by a cabinent composed of the old guard and he has seemed to lie alittle bit himself. i think he's alright for a dem but at the end of the day an enemy of democracy like some of his predecessors.

It is third party time. This is a national emergency! To much money gets mismanaged and our political process is controlled by special interest. We need people of nobility to step forward, they might not be slick attractive, or have political experience, but people that really want to enact change and restore the government to the people.

but hating Muslims, that's totally cool. I get it. Fear of Blacks = passe, but fear of browns (mexicans? arabs? muslims?!) is the new Black.

I sincerely hope you are not waving the Tea Party flag with this post.

Nope its Libertarian to be exact. The Tea baggers seem to try to infiltrate the reublican party and are a movement not a party in my estimation. I'd settle for Green or Peace and Freedom just not the entrenched political action committee controlled curent regime. I thank Rand Paul seems like a good guy but more importantly His father Ron Paul, repressentative, republican congressman and Presendtial candidate for bothe the Rep in the last election and Libertarians in 88' I belive. He repressents the way the republican party should be. Reducing the size and scope of the government so their are less opportunities to subvert it, cutting taxes, ending drug prohibition, returning the power to the people whose will is expressed through the republican/ representative form of democracy, and living within the bounds of the constitution.

I honesty don't know enough about the tea party and what they stand for except that its refreshing to see people protesting against the rulling class. I think they don;t have an established platform. But I have been a staunch registered libertarian since 1989. I have been a Libertarian since 85' when I read an article about them in Hustler that I found on the side of a dumbster as a 14 years old- thats an article I did read ( people aren't known to read Hustler for its articles, the Joke about playboy), but it was Ed Clark and he was making sense- talking about things the republicab party should had been standing for.

No, hating any group of people is wrong

Nope....
I dont know of anyone who hates muslims. I'm sure there are people who do, as there are people everywhere on Earth who hate entire groups of people, but they are ignorant and wrong!

But, we cannot pretend that there is no such thing as the "Muslim extremists", as Attorney general Eric Holder has done in front of a congressional panel, when he refused to acknowledge that the Times square bomber could've possible been connected to islamic extremists, even though his department knew he was....

There are extremists out there, and we must not ignore their existence. Bush was accused of 'fear mongering' any time he talked about Al quida or terrorists by the left. In other words, they wouldve been happier had he taken the 'Eric Holder' stance, and pretended there is no such thing as Islamic terrorists, and never mentioned it..... But then, he wouldnt have been doing his job, which is to keep us vigilant in the face of the terrorist threat, so we would be prepared and hopefully safer....

This is an example of P.C. gone awry....

Just expection latinos to follow the laws we have to follow

As far as Mexicans or Latinos are concerned, most people dont hate them either, they just expect them to follow our laws like everyone else is supposed to.

The illegal immigrants(25- 40 million of them) come here illegally, ignoring our laws and rules, although in THEIR countries, they expect THEIR governments to strictly enforce immigration laws and deport ANY and ALL illegal immigrants! :p

Many of them ALSO break more laws by obtaining fake Id's, and break more laws by obtaining fabricated S.S. cards, with stolen or fake SS #'s. :p

They then break more laws by evading income taxes(many of them do):p

They take our jobs, which are desperately needed by Americans. Please dont say that "illegals only do jobs Americans wont do", that is complete crap! Remember all the folks in your high school who either dropped out, or graduated but didnt go on to college? Well, there are LOTS of those people in America, and they primarily take blue collar jobs, MOST of which are also being taken by illegal immigrants! For instance, the current construction industry unemployment rate is about 25%. In the mean time, 19-24% of the nations currently employed construction workers are illegal immigrants...... If they were not here, those American construction workers would have jobs, and wouldnt be losing their homes! Point made....:(

Also, the illegals cause the pay rates to drop significantly, due to the negatives of hiring them.:(

There also is a HUGE number of criminals coming from south of the border, who cause lots of crime of all sorts in the US, then they often get away with it, because we dont know who they are.:(

Then there are many of the LARGE Latino gangs in America, such as the 18th street gang, and MS-13, and countless others......:X

They also cost a fortune in taxpayer dollars through education costs, providing government services for tens of millions of additional people such as additional police, health care costs for them and their families, housing, welfare and food stamps in the states which allow illegals to get entitlements, medicaid, etc.:(

Plus, businesses and all government offices HAVE to learn their language, because they typically dont speak or will not learn English

But if you dont support illegal immigration or amnesty, you are called a racist or a hater..... 8o

These are examples of P.C. gone awry....:|

Ya what a terrible president! I mean all he did was work tirelessly for human rights and give huge aids to less fortunate countries8)

yup. at the detriment of this country.

best: Reagan, Kennedy

over rated: Carter, Clinton, Obama

Im sorry what exactly did Kennedy do? Lets see he fucked up in the Bay Of Pigs which led directly to the cuban missle crises. Exscalated our prescence in Vietnam. Left LBJ with a hell of a mess to clean up. Everyone gives Kennedy credit for civil rights when in reality it was LBJ that used Kennedys memory and post death popularity to strong arm it through congress. Yea I think Kennedy is vastly overrated.

Yep...

I dont know why anyone would ever give Kennedy credit for civil rights, considering that he promised civil rights for blacks while he campaigned for president, then when he got in office, he never got it done, even though he promised blacks that it would be the 1st thing on his agenda.... Part of the problem was that his party(the Democrats) had been blocking civil rights for almost 100 years at that point! But Kennedy wouldve known that his party wasnt going to support civil rights as he was promising it on the campaign trail, because his family were long time Dems, and he was already a politician, so you have to believe that he lied to all the blacks when he promised it...:\

Plus, it was largely due to the republicans that civil rights were passed in the first place in congress.......

^It wasnt just the republicans. If you look at who voted, 100% of southern republicans voted against the original House bill as well as 93% of the southern democrats. The northern half of both parties voted overwhelmingly in support.
