Flower My weed jar broke and I was wondering and hoping that smoking it out of a bong would prevent any small pieces of glass from damaging my lungs?

So if I did my best to get all the glass of the nugs of weed that was in this broken jar which there is almost without a doubt some tiny pieces of fine glass in the nugs of weed. If I smoked it out of a bong with water to filter the smoke and any glass in the weed will that prevent it from ending up in my lungs or will the small fine particles of glass being able to make it past the water filter pipe?
 
I would probably toss it just to avoid getting high and immediately start worrying that I just inhaled glass shards... I agree though that through a Bong, any glass particles would probably sink to the bottom of the water since their momentum is pointing downwards anyway and they are dense material. might be also a good idea to use a fine mesh in the head instead of sucking all the ashes through into the water.

but yeah, imo, safe yourself the worries and toss it.

A cigarette filter will weaken the effects.
A bowl or bong with a fine screen on it should eliminate any issues and as Mr Krinkle said a bong should be fine but a good fine screen and a bong will be your best bet.
 
i would personally not smoke it because as suggested above i'd probs start worrying i had inhaled glass particles and scarred my lungs permanently.

That being said, if you Must smoke it, please do not rely on anything other than plenty of water in a bong . Those screens will not filter the scarring nano particles, but water will its why they use water to remove radioactive particles from nuclear power stations when venting
 
Bong would probably be okay, relying on the water rather than a screen. alternatively you could make edibles where you strain the butter through a cloth or coffee filter?

Best option is to chuck it but I probably wouldn't do that either 🤷
 
If you're really that worried but reluctant to toss it, maybe do a small oil run of the nugs? How much is it? I've done qwet washes on as little as an eighth of bud. You won't get much wax back off that small an amount, but guaranteed any glass wouldn't make it to your finished product.

Honestly though, a bong with a good screen in the bowl and you're good, I'd say. 👍

heh, i see your logic in this but this would probably ruin the nug in terms of flavor. Sounds gross tbh.
You could do an ethanol extraction and just evaporate for a low quality oil.

A bong should work, i would just be cautious and not take giant rips.

I got some Columbian shake contaminated with beach sand once (very cheaply). I spread out some newspapers dumped the weed on one end and blew it to the other end leaving the sand behind.

Really, though. A bong while using a screen in the bowl should be good. A pipe with toilet paper stuffed in the stem as a filter. A bong with a screen with toilet paper in the stem and/or mouthpiece. A gravity bong. The list goes on.
 
If you HAVE to smoke it, water filtration is key.

You can, also, always make infused butter or oil and just strain it through a filter or cloth or something

lol. my friend back when we were getting out of high school had this problem and said he threw the weed out, i was like "wtf, how could you" in my head.

i'm pretty sure i actually started charging that kid more for weed after he told me that he threw out like an 1/8th or so.

thinking about it now, i guess sometimes water splashes up hitting a bong, so why couldn't a piece of glass be in that... idk... i'd prob use a filter on a joint at least... also you could get a screen for the bong like mentioned..
