Ok I'm getting really desperate at this moment for some relief and it seems as the small dose of .25mg ativan doesn't do anything anymore and i don't want to venture down the road of dependency. I also have a suspicion it is causing the rush of anxiety I am now experience. I just came off a SSRI after a two year taper and recently using benzos to sleep for recent life stresses(used on and off for several months). I originally thought that because I'm off SSRI, that it must be my serotonin levels but supplementing with 5htp/tryptophan only make things worse. Now I am confident it is all down to my adrenals(tests come back high everytime). After all, withdrawals cause high cortisol/adrenaline right? So im going to get strict with lowering my cortisol. Here's what I am taking and what I want to add to my daily regimen.

Relora
theanine
holy basil
ashwagandha
Vitamin D 10,000
Magnesium glycinate
passion flower

WANT TO ADD:
seriphos
inositol
rhodiola (maybe)
ginseng (maybe)
cordyceps (maybe)

Any interactions with these???

Forgot to add, I am experiencing rushes of anxiety all day and having panic attacks in my sleep. As I doze off, I jump out of it with pounding heart and sweating. I've always experienced insomnia, but not in this frightening way. My thoughts are constantly doom and gloom and my OCD has gone insane!!! Pls help.

Glad to see you got ashwagandha. I cant see anything missing from that list at first glance.

ashwagandha higher doses and iboga microfoses got me off SSRI paxil i was using for 5 years in only a 1 week taper, no jokes, with zero withdrawals or issues, I was impressed. I dont know if it was just some fluke or something, but it was most likely the iboga that had the biggest effect.

Iboga seems amazing for coming off any drug, mostly famous for opiates, but it starts doing wierd things if you microdose to long, as it builds up in your system. I gor anxiety and visual disturbances. If you are already off the drug though then this might not help.

I actually have holy basil but havent taken it, didnt know it was good for anxiety, ill try it.

I also take (but for other reasons as well not only anxiety):

Gotu Kola
Bacopa
Dragon Herbs Adaptogen combo products
B complex
Noopept/Piracetam/Aniracetam/alpha gbc/ nootropics
Fish Oils
Organic Vitamins
DMAE
Noni Fruit Capsules

All of these work on the mind, and the adaptogens and noni will help with the endocrine system and overall health like the adrenals.

Your issues sound like you might need some actual medication though, why come off the SSRI? I did as my issues where resolved but perhaps not yours?

And at least get some proper benzos for immediate releif if you are having panic attacks, not that weak ativan shit. For longer term not sure what to suggest for anxiety management if the supplements dont work.

Thanks a bunch! I got off SSRIs because they didn't help my anxiety, panic or OCD and I just needlessly suffered the side effects. I also have lyme disease so I know that once i treat the lyme disease then the symptoms will go away. In the meantime, dealing with the after effects are tough.

How high was your ashwagandha dose?? Do you know how many times I have to take these supplements. Three times a day seems to be the general rule...but thats a lot of supplements to take. Not to mention expensive!

I simply take the recommended dosage over everything once a day, to lazy to plan around more complicated schedule. Its quite funny because its literally a handful pile of pills, takes like a few swallows to get it down. Hope all those gel caps and fillers are safe in high doses.

I take 2 ashwagandha a day normally, prob 1g I think in total. But for treating something its higher. i prob took 2 grams when i was getting off the SSRI's.
Bear in mind i dont really know if it works well for this kind of thing, my research indicated it might and that it helps with drug tolerance as well, so I just did it. Besides that I know its a good supplement so i take it daily anyways.

2g i think is where you can actually feel the effects, as it has a GABA mimicking effect which is prob what you feel, but personally I have not felt an effect directly, i just take it because its supposed to be good for you. Research dosages and test though to see what works, as its the most likely one on the list to provide benzo type benefits, i think, in higher dosages.

The iboga is prob what sorted the SSRI addiction though mostly not the ashwagandha. It apparently does a receptor resent of some kind however its benefits are sometimes explained from a spiritual point of view as well, all I know is that its proven to work with opiates, and probably anything else as well. Took a chance with the SSRI's and it worked great. I dont think anybody else has gotten off SSRI's in 1 week before without issues.

Yet in the states iboga is illegal, most likely so big phara can continue making huge profits off opiate maintinance treatment drugs. Cant have something that cures addiction in a single session, bad for business.. At least i could get it here though. But I digress...

better use 5mg ambien to fall asleep. would work a lot better than even 1,5mg of ativan.
and it's got a shorter half life and it's not a true benzo, so even though it's still addictive it should be a little less than ativan.

i figure u shud be able to use ambien twice a week without developing physical withdrawal symptoms (if ur not taking other benzos in the meantime)
