As I posted before I never got passed one week on Cipralex, even Trazodone recently because of the bad side effects.
I decided to continue, because I rememberd a old plan I fallowed a long time ago , Cipralex and Medazepam, I felt great but the problem was that I only did this treatment for one month, unaware that I must do it for at least 3 to 6 months.

Recently I was not able to take Cipralex longer than 3 days because I was taking it with lorezopam I thought this was the combination I rememberd, but it was not , it's easy to screw up the names Anxiar (lorezopam) and Ansilan (medazepam) as a person that is not experienced with this drugs.

This is my second day on Cipralex and Medazepam, feeling anxious, tired and a bit dizzy but with a different attitude than before and I'm willing to continue this treatment to get better again.

The reason I created this thread is because I'm aware that many people are in my situation, not being able to find a good combination of anti-depressants without too many bad side-effects. I will post here daily about how I feel and how the progress is going, if this works for me maybe it will work for many out there that had problems.

Current dose:
10 MG Cipralex
10 MG Medazepam
Both taken at night.

Yet again sorry for my English.

What kind of negative side effects are you getting from 10mg of Cipralex? Im on that at the moment and the side effects havent been too bad, just some tiredness and feeling a bit nauseous.

Increased anxiety is the most troubling, I also have some vivid dreams.I'm happy to hear that your doing well, for how long are you taking Cipralex ? and do you take something else with it ?

Ok so this is my third day, couldn't sleep until late last night , but woke up feeling pretty good this morning, without that bad anxiety that I usually had and also not as tired and dizzy. Will edit the post to keep you informed of how the day goes !

New info:

Ok I just had a panic attack after smoking a cig , but I was feeling anxious from the start. I took some calcium with magnesium , it helped a bit, feeling a bit strange.

New info 2 :

Feeling better now, stopped feeling anxious.

@suessmayr Hmm I have no idea why , probably because I take it with Medazepam or the body is getting used to it :-?? .

This is my 4th day.

Woke up this morning with my eyesight feeling like it's on high voltage, but it shortly got back to normal.
I'm getting ready to meet this girl I like, feeling anxious because of this and I also hope that my Cipralex treatment won't interfere too much.
I split a 10 mg Medazepam capsule in 5 mg and took it just to be sure I don't get a panic attack or something, I don't plan on using the help of benzos eveytime something comes up but I'm at the beginning of this treatment and for me it made my anxiety worse.

Will keep you posted of how the day went.

@goku4ever Did this side-effects came after you read my post ? If so it's probably induced side-effects.

So this day went fine , I was a bit anxious, ok I was very anxious I thought I'm going to cancel this but I said f*c* this I can do it this thing can't control me. I went off with two girls I barely knew, I mean I only knew one for like one week and the other I've just meet, we went in another city at a mall. We cracked some jokes . When I got at the mall I've smoked my first cig of the day with a friend, I felt an panic attacking coming up but I didn't give it any importance so it went away fast. In fact I used the rush of adrenaline in a good way, like playing pool , talking. I drank about 2 beers and a cocktail so I'm waiting a bit before taking my Cipralex and Medazepam.

All in all it was a great day for me , all the secret is in not giving importance to the panic attacks and just go with the flow.

When i was on cipralex I would also get strange side effects. The increase in anxiety will go away as your body gets used to it. I took it for 3 weeks, had suicidal ideation, decreased libido and nightmares so I stopped, but I noticed that when I took it everything looked different, like objects had a glimmer to them or something which generally made me feel better. Cipralex also improved my sleep but these SSRI's seem to have the funny characteristic of either making you sleep well or causing insomnia lol.

I find it interesting you panic after smoking cigarettes. When I smoke cigarettes I get massive disassociation/derealization; everything feels dreamy and like my mind is in the clouds. I don't understand why this happens even now. For me cigarettes help my anxiety and also make it worse.

Either way, good luck with your progress, the fact you can make it to the mall and meet new people sounds like the medications are working for you. I'd recommend weaning off the benzo as your body gets used to cipralex (most understanding doctors will put you on a benzo to avoid the side effects at first). This way you won't end up addicted to them like me :\

Never heard of medazepam but after looking it up it sounds like an interesting benzo with a huge half life (36-200 hours). Have you tried other benzos? I wonder how it compares to valium or klonopin just out of curiousity.

I've tried lorezopam witch didn't work very great for me, It stopped the anxiety but when I started using it with Cipralex it stood no chance :)), also xanax . Xanax was good for a short time I mean it even made me happier in someway but the short half life was strongly felt .
Yes medazepam is a very interesting benzo and it's used for nervous brake downs and many things, many benzos don't have this. It's works in a great way.

Regarding the cigarettes same here . If i don't smoke them I start getting worse anxiety and even depression , if I smoke them, the first cigarette usually gives me a panic attack but after I feel way better than not smoking one. This thing also happens to me when I don't smoke a cigarette for a longer period of time, the explanation here could be that when you smoke one adrenaline rushes the body , and since adrenaline is also the fuel for the panic attacks it makes sense :-? but i'm no doctor.

The sleeping thing has only been the last couple of days, but the spasm has been a while before that. It doesnt happen very often though.

darklane - well done on getting out there despite feeling like ass. I also agree with what you said about panic attacks - that you need to stop fighting them and just surrender. This robs them of their importance and turns them into an inconvenience and a bore rather than something fearful.

Thank you for the support suessmayr !
So this is my 5th day it went smooth, I've had a long , long sleep only woke up about 3 times but that was because of the noise of the door shutting, had some morning guests. I still notice some strange electric like vision when I wake up that fades away fast, probably it's the brain adjusting to the chemical .
Still a bit anxious but nothing I cannot handle.

Also I still have that positive attitude that I've started with . That I will go with this treatment no matter the side-effects. I think that's very important, it's a huge difference when comparing I could not get passed day 3 about a month ago and now I'm feeling good on day 5.

Other side-effects:
feeling thirsty and a bit tired

6th day

Feeling out of it , had a long deep sleep without any vivid dreams. Didn't have that electric like vision when I woke up but still it's fuzzy. All in all I don't think this will be a great day since I don't seem to find the energy to go out and do something. But will keep you posted.

New info:

I'm pretty agitated but tired at the same time ... hmm :-?

New info:
Stopped felling agitated , a bit nauseous but nothing too bad.

Waiting for tomorrow to surprise me

7th day, the same had a long deep sleep. I didn't have those for quite some time. But this anxiety is still bothering me.
I turned down to my e-cig since it doesn't give me that panic attacks that a normal cig does. But I still crave a normal one so bad...

Other side-effects:

Thirsty

Man if you get panic attacks from nicotine - quit that shit!! Just stop. I've been umming about it myself for ages and I don't even get panic attacks from nicotine - I'm just unsure whether it causes them at other times.

I know that terrible feeling of agitation + lethargy. It's the worst. No matter what you do you feel fucken shit - can't be active, can't do nothing. This, in my view, is in large part what PAWS with opiates is all about. Just feeling skat and unedified no matter what you're doing.

Keep at it bro!!

Thanks suessmayr ! But I don't think I will be able to handle a nicotine carving at this point .

I went out today and had to stay for around 30-60 min alone in a pub , I was shaky at first probably because it was my first real cig that i've smoked this day but nothing bad, actually when my friends came I had a pretty good time without feeling any kind of anxiety. Now back home I feel pretty tired but that's because of the Cipralex . Anyway I had a good time.

New update:

It's night here, feeling tired and a bit out of it like a dull feeling.
