My Hair Is Falling Out: What Do I Do? *Mega-Merged Thread*

Thank you. I found it at google. It interesting and I like to share it with others, for them to know also.

Thank you for sharing but unfortunately this can't generate any discussion except "Wow, I didn't know that!" or "Damn, that's what's happening with me!"

Welcome to BL, jannkahon. Sorry to kill your second thread (assuming you posted in NMI)--Do some more posting in other threads and get a feel for the message board. :)

Losing hair - what to do? *Mega-merged thread*

i am 25 and have a receeding hairline

i am currently using alpecin caffeine shampoo in the hope it will grow back my receeding hairline do you think this is possible by using this shampoo?

Does regaine hair foam grow back your hairline?

I have also been doing lots of cardio in an teempt to get more oxygen to my hair follicles, can you actually reverse the effects of a receeding hairline through cardio etc as I know growth hormone has been said to promote hair growth.

As far as I know, it is impossible to 'regrow' or stimulate the growth of hair where you have none. You are only able to better nourish and care for the hair you already have.

Going bald is an emotional experience and plenty of companies prey on that. Don't be sucked into spending thousands of dollars on empty promises. If you really want to treat hairloss consider a toupe, hair transplants or taking it head on by shaving your head and accepting things. The latter is my personal recommendation, but of course it's completely up to you.

Don't get a toupee. View this for more reasons as to why.

My mom used Rogaine for men (there wasn't a "for women" at the time) for years until she realized she was basically throwing away her money. She's not bald but has some very thin patches. I know it's easier for women to hide baldness than men, so for the love of all things holy, please don't do a comb-over or anything.

As COTB said, consider the transplants or shave your head. Or do a close-cropped hair cut and have half your head bald.

i suggest you get a movie called ( the secret ) then proceed with whatever you put your beaitufull mind to my friend..

I started losing my hair very early in life (in my teens, actually) and it's been falling out rapidly ever since. Treatment was really kind of futile after a while because of how fast it was falling out. Bald can actually look good on certain guys, from what I've seen. Unfortunately, I don't really have a good body type at all, especially not for being bald. I'm short and skinny. I've begun working out, though, and I'm going to shave my head pretty soon. It's not going to change, and I refuse to wear a wig. I'd rather just put on a hat and people will see my bald head when they have to. I'm honestly coming to the point where I just laugh it off. I'm used to it and I've come to accept it.

On the bright side, I'm sure new treatments will be out there over the next ten years or so, though. We're both still young.

Asking a hair stylist, nutritionist, physician, or the like who can look you over and ask real time questions to try to get to the root of your problem seems to me to be the approach most likely to get you satisfactory results. Stress, seasonal variations, infections, nutrition, hormones, other metabolic disorders/situations could all be the problem or a part of the problem. It could be a lot of other things as well. Knowing your approximate age and gender could help eliminate a few causes.

A shot in the dark here: have you tried a conditioner with panthenol? Panthenol adheres to the hair shaft thickening it and making it stronger. Were any recreational drugs or medications started or increased about the time you started having problems? Were there any big changes in diet or lifestyle about the time you started having problems?
