A buddy of mine recently got away with snatching his wife's post dated adderall script and modifying it to read the current date at the time. It was actually rather impressive how flawlessly he got 6/16/11 to read 5/20/11. He took it to a local pharmacy and got it filled, payed cash and all that. Anyway, that is not the dumb part. The problem is that now his wife has noticed her script is gone, so he told her to just go to the doc and say she lost it and needs a new one. I feel like this is a huge mistake and one of them is going to end up in major trouble. Am I wrong? If anyone has any info on this I can present to him I would appreciate it. He just thinks I'm paranoid, but they have kids and I don't want to see a family go through a big legal problem over 30 fucking adderall. Thanks!

Why he doesn't just either tell her the truth.. or deny it and hope he doesn't get in trouble? You should talk to a local lawyer about it, no one can really help you here, it completely depends on the jurisdiction.

Well if it makes a difference this is all in Maryland where there are no triple copy scripts, and the laws they just passed to link pharmacy and prescription info have not gone into effect yet.

"I lost my Schedule II amphetamine" is rarely bought by any doctor...

what are you asking?

if he should tell his wife the truth before she acts like a dumbass without knowing it? yes.

if there is some loophole in maryland that allows you to dupe docs and fill their scripts without their knowledge? can't ask that here.

I'm always 8o by people that forge/alter scripts. I would endure the worst w/d (and have!) before I would ever do that.

I'm not sure about in the states, but in the UK the doctor doesn't get feedback to say if the prescription has been filled or not.

Also, if you are worried about the legal ramifications it might be better to make a post in the Legal Discussion forum or speak to a lawyer.
