shrooms - first time - max payne

the drug i mainly do is ecstasy. i do coke rarely, i smoke weed ocassionaly, and i drink regularly. i'm a sophmore from illinois. i did shrooms for the first time this past weekend and i just wanted to write down what i felt. i found it hard to explain even to myself, so ill try my best.

it was me and 3 friends. we were all doin it for the first time. it was about 2am. we were up in the attic of my friends house which is just a bunch of couches, a full kitchen against a wall, and an entertainment center. i went to the bathroom downstairs and came upstairs when i first felt it starting to hit me. i came up the stairs and saw my one friend jumpin around the room cuz it was hitting him too. i looked at a skylight window that was slightly tinted and the tint was peeling making a weird pattern on the window. I stared at the patern and it seemed like i was looking into a deep, dark forest. as it hit us harder i was seeing patterns in the walls of the room. not too extreme, just an enhancement of the rough paint job that it had. i felt very giddy, laughing at how ridiculous my friends looked.

as it hit us harder we went down to the abandoned basement that had at some point been boarded up in the middle. there was a cut in the wood on one side that was opened so that u can go in the other part of the basement. i went in the room that was closed off for many, many years and the ground was just dirt. the room was dark and looked very crazy, like from a scary movie. in the darkness i was making patterns out of the walls and ground. the mortar between the bricks ( i think thats what it called ) crumbled when scratched with my fingernail. everything began to seem very odd.

we went ouside for a walk and i felt like i was in a video game. everything seemed to be pre-rendered and there for a purpose. as i walked by the houses at 4 in the morning i thought about how inside there was families sleeping, waiting to get up at 7am to go to work and school, like clockwork. life seemed to be very pre-determined and fake. i felt as if i was seeing life from the outside. it was a mix between the truman/show and a video game. we saw some bright red and yellow roses that stood out in a front yard and they appeared to be opening slowly. i looked at the street signs and we had only gone 2 blocks, yet i felt as if time was flying by. we stopped to examine everything.. trees, sprinkler systems, flowers. i looked inside houses and it all looked soo fake. for example i would look through a window and see a living room, but i felt as if i went into the house the only thing there would be a living room/ the room next to it would just be empty because i would never see it and therfore it didnt need to have a purpose.

to keep things short ill just keep it at that. the rest of the night involved more intellectual thinking instead of exploring because it was cold.

anybody else feel like theyre in a videogame? where only what we see is there... like if we walked into buildings the inside would be empty because i wouldnt see it anyways, so why waste the time and make a kitchen for example. id say max payne might be the best video game i can think of that this experience seemed like

watch out for crumbling staircases, two jeep wranglers standing side by side and yards that seem to mirror each other! life seems more and more like episodes of samurai jack

gotta get back, back to the past Samurai Jack

I get the feeling of pre determined life for most people 9getting up at 7) on MDMA a lot, the feeling that you cant just do drugs and explore your mind at times hits me hard.

good report. gotta love that intellectual thinking side of drugs.

YES! Walking whilst really stoned and having snorted oxy, it was fucking bullet time all over =D

Wow... I had a shroom experience so similar to this. And I also related it to video games.. being a huge gamer... the game I felt like I was in is a cyberpunk/futuristic *awesome* game called Deus Ex. I compared my "pre-determined" life to the "pre-determined" storyline, and it really tripped me out along the way.

Max Payne rocks. #1 is one of my fave games still.

Nice report

natural settings really help the experience i think, may find you thinking less about societys imprint on earth and more of being at one with nature. Nice report; why not add some more to the report it woul dbe interesting to see what you have to say.

peace

matter of fact i tried shrooms for a second time two nights ago. It was definitely a more intense trip. The setting was my friends giant frat house. Three floors plus a basement. It was 6 of us totally messed up. The "living room" which was the size of a tennis court was probably the coolest room of the house. It seemed like a big doll/fun house. The room itself had a bunch of sofas against the wall with a beerpong table in the middle. The walls had blacklight ink written all over them and it was dark with little light coming thru the rips of the curtains. I felt like a little kid in a crazy fun house. Everytime i walked the walls breathed, and i saw patterns in everything. We went out for a walk and it felt like i was in the game Fable for XBOX or zelda. Lots of green, very hilly feel to everything. We walked a block and it felt like an adventure and a half. We just ran around exploring everything in the house. Because i don't live there every room was basically new to me. i took at least twice the dosage as i did the first time and saw colors and patterns in everything i saw. We sat outside in a comfortable chair that spun around and it felt like i was being sucked into a vortex.

in my friends room i put on a dvd by a group called fischerspooner. They play some weird electronic music and make visualizations to them. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone shrooming. One of the visualizations made it feel like u were flying around in a plane thru a strip of volcanoes, then u go inside of one of the volcanoes and go thru a lot more... i was sitting in a big comfortable recliner with my friend real close to the tv, and as we were "flying around" we got so into it that we slowly leaned back and tipped the entire recliner over and just fell out of the chair backwards. Me and my friend almost pissed our pants when we realized how fucked up we were.

Fischerspooner... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. They made the DVD just for psychedelic drugs
