Mirtazapine withdrawal...sexual dysfunction?

I've been able to successfully withdraw from mirtazapine over about 6 weeks. However, now that it's pretty much out of my system I find it more difficult to achieve orgasm and sometimes have difficulty getting it up. Sensation is decreased a bit, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm unsure of what is causing this. Sex used to be great when I was taking 90mg at night, about an hour after taking it I could have the most enjoyable sex...now it's just "there" but takes an hour and often even longer just to climax.

Has anyone else had this same problem? Did their sexual function return to it's former glory if they went back on the mirtazapine?

I don't like this drug because it makes me irritable and made me a bit flabby...but I'm getting irritable now when I'm off it and it seems that, after my weight went down by about 10 pounds, sure enough, wouldn't you know it...it's slowly coming back again, and things are beginning to annoy/irritate me just the same as they did when I was off it. I don't get hot flushes when I get anxious like I did when I was taking it, but I still get the psychological effects, so it doesn't really help much being off it, now that I come to think of it.

I've spoken to a doctor, but tossing up whether or not to go back on to it, and deal with the weight gain/fluid retention.
