Stimulants Methylphenidate binge - 200mg insufflated over 11 hours no tolerance

The title pretty much says it all. I'm feeling kinda like shit. I've definitely taken the last dose before I fall asleep, whenever that might be. I have some alcohol but no benzos. I haven't drunk any alcohol for 2 reasons - 1: I've read that the ethanol can become methanol and the methylphenidate can become ethylphenidate. Also I want to reduce the withdrawals I get tomorrow, and maybe alcohol will make that worse.

Any suggestions? I know this was pretty stupid, and I won't ever do it again. I am a little anxious, but not really much. My heart rate is around 100-110 at rest and my extremities feel cold, allthough that has happened without any drugs as well.
What is the best thing I can do?
The method I used was opening capsules and crushing them into powder.
PS: I very much don't recommend doing anything that I've done - not worth it at all.
Also: If I feel bad withdrawals, would it be beneficial to take a 5mg oral dose twice that day, or should I just throw the rest of my pills out? And just to clarify, I wont ever insufflate this again or take an oral dose higher than low therapeutic dose. I've proven that I don't have the self-control to be able to use stimulants responsibly.

First, the size of your dose doesn't seem to be all that extreme. A little more than 10 mg an hour during a single day can certainly leave you a little strung out and "sometimes paranoid" but after a nite of sleep you should be back to normal. As far as you mentioning a "withdraw", you should hardly experience any withdraw unless you have been taking a similar dose over a period of time. If you mean "comedown" well yeah; you cannot amp up you dopamine levels for that long without some form of rebound. A good nights sleep and hydration should be all you need to recover. You may experience some emotional problems for a few hours after the final dose has tapered off, but nothing the day after. Taking a small dose the following day may help energize you, be careful not to become reliant on self medicating your way into a cycle of compensation and non recreational use. Do not throw out your pills! If they are prescribed to you, try using them as prescribed. They can be a valuable tool. It is sometimes best to not experiment with substances if you find yourself thinking in certain ways. Binging and addiction are real problems, listening to your fears can often be a hint that you are not in the right mindset to gain a positive experience. Be careful and good luck!

Yeah they are actually prescribed to me. I have ADD and always have had. I never use stimulants for it unless I have to, like school work and such, which I don't need it for very often. The ADD isn't all that bad, really so I just try to avoid using it too often, however this was my first time. The thing is I had an adderall prescription before. I have occasionally taken it recreationally, but I know the drug so well that I've never run into problems with it. When I use it as prescribed it works very well. I don't know if the Ritalin is gonna work well, though. I'll take a tolerance break though, and after that I won't exceed prescribed dosage. Thanks for letting me know it's not the end of the world, cause after doing some google research, which led to very vague answers, I kinda concluded that I was doomed so I spent my energy on managing my anxiety, which I'm quite good at, cause if there's something that won't make things better, it's anxiety.
Anyway, a lot of the anxiety is gone now thanks to your post and I can relax a bit more now. It's probably gonna take a couple of sleepy hours till I can fall asleep, but that's just something I gotta accept.

Looks like I'll be fine. I got a headache, but it went from moderate to mild after having a large meal with some water to restore electrolyte balance. So it seems there will be no point in taking anything to reduce just a mild headache. How long can I expect my tolerance to be higher? I dont wanna use it again until I know my tolerance is completely gone, so I can get a realistic sense of whether it's a proper medication for me at the dose prescribed.

I'd drink a nice big glass of milk if you have it, and maybe eat something light...Take a shower, and then have a few glasses of water...After that, if you still can't sleep, then have maybe one or two alcoholic beverages, but don't just drink the alcohol and try to go right to sleep..

Milk has always worked wonders for me when I've found myself in similar situations to yours...It calms you down a little bit naturally, gives you some much-needed nourishment and hydrates you a little bit too...but if you hate milk or have lactose intolerance, that might be an issue...In which case I'd try something like ginger-ale and toast, maybe a can of chicken noodle soup, followed by more water afterward...

The first thing you eat or drink after being high on stimulants for awhile is always weird...so, having something that's light and that you can get down is important. And that alone usually makes a huge difference, before taking other drugs even enters into the equation...

Most of them methylphenidate that is converted in vivo to ethylphenidate (in the presence of alcohol) will be the wrong enantiomer - in layman's terms it is the wrong shape to fit into your dopamine transporters. So having a beer or whatever to help relax is OK.

. As reported for humans, concurrent exposure of B6 mice to methylphenidate and ethanol more readily formed l-ethylphenidate than d-ethylphenidate, and the l-isomers of both methylphenidate and ethylphenidate were biologically inactive.

You're unlikely to feel withdrawals, you'll just feel hungover for a day or so. Think of it as running a marathon you weren't prepared for - you're gonna want to get plenty of food, water, electrolytes, and rest.

Yeah I'm feeling quite a hangover. What kind of electrolyte sources are to be recommended in this kind of situations? And in which amounts? It would of course be silly to dehydrate myself further because of eating too much salt.

Sports drinks are generally good (Powerade, Gatorade). Milk is good too. Or fruits/fruit juices. Just make sure to balance out any salts you take with a little water/fluid.

I have been in a similar position myself, tried many different prescription drugs, was on 200mg of Ritalin a day at one point. The only thing that saved me was taking up a friends advice and going to see a nutritionist. The one I went to took many blood samples and we worked out a diet that was suitable for me, eating heath fresh food - EVERYDAY - will help you more than you can imagine. Try taking up a sport - doing a boot camp or even MMA which has also been a good release of tension for me. I havnt had any prescription drugs in over three years now and my entire life has changed for the better, a little bit of weed also helps me - never killed anyone and I find it a lot more enjoyable than alcohol - which is widely overrated, if anything try getting into wine - just for the taste and have a glass or two now and then - but do everything you can to stay off prescription drugs and never mix them with other drugs ALCOHOL being a drug overlooked as acceptable - a psychiatrist who is open to alternatives also helped me a lot. Good luck - hope this gives you a few ideas and be safe

one of the biggest misconceptions about alcohol is that it makes you dehydrated - it is only a small symptom of whats occurring in a hangover - your body is actually having withdrawals from the alcohol itself - as alcohol exits your body at a very fast rate - the more you drink the worse the effects will be the next day. All though sports drinks and coffee may make your throat feel a lot better the only cure is rest. Electrolytes will not override or make the alcohol leave your system at a faster rate, neither would meth amphetamines which is also widely misconstrued. Alcohol leaves the body at 0.015% per hour and you will only see this vary slightly dependent on your overall metabolism. No amount of electrolytes would help, except for your throat - long answer :>)
