Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum but I've lurked for sometime now. But I finallly had a question.

I don't take Xanax often but when I do I hardly remember what happened during those hours.
What I do remember I remember it being enjoyable, so I was wondering if there's a way for me to enhance my memory when I take Xanax?

I usually only have 2mg max. The yellow bars or the white ones.
If I tune down the dose it not as noticeable though.

I appreciate any help in advance. Thanks. :D

Take less.

There is no other way.

2mg xanax with no tolerance? no wonder you can't remember a thing. Try .5

its hard to really get high on benzos and not have any memory problems afterwards. this is why i tend to stay away from them. i took 6mg of clonazepam more than a year ago now. i lost that whole weekend memory wise. imo, benzos are fucked, dont do them

Alprazolam is a strong amnesic, giving you amnesia is what it does!

It's to be expected of those abusing alprazolam especially in such high dosages, it's active at 125 micrograms, so no need to start at 8 times the active dose.

This is the perfect illustration of what Xanax, in particular, will do to you. Please try to remember this ( no pun intended) if you decide to keep using Xanax, as you will almost certainly increase your doses and how often you use. I have huge chunks of time I will never get back. One of the most destructive drugs around when abused long term. You dont want that memory hole, it fucks with life. Seriously. And it's slippery. You get to every day use and before you know it you are down a nasty rabbit hole. I would go there if I were you.

Well at most i take Xanax once a month since I have no way of having it regularly and I only get one or two 2mg bar. Because I have heard numerous people having trouble with this drug I try not to have too many.

Also yeah I notice .5 doesn't do much to me even without a tolerance. So I may just not take it anymore if there's no way of helping the amnesia problem.

I use ALOT of lorazepam and Xanax and dont seem to find much memory loss issues. Id be lying if i didnt say i had some but its rare. For instance went out on a likle mission this morning when i woke i consumed 1.5mg Xanax, took 5mg lorazepam with me by the time i got where i was going i popped the 5mg loraz. No memory loss whatsoever. Bare in mind i have a very high tolerance. If you take them not so much your bound to get memory issues, its gtd. Your body and brain isnt used to it. Thats normal, shouldnt worry you in anyway imo. Either make a habit out of it and watch them fade or just enjoy it still when you do take one. Seriously though dont go habit forming!!

^I'm guessing you're already dependent on benzodiazepines, which means your more used to the effects. The amnesic effects of benzodiazepines tends to wear off somewhat rapidly in the dependent.

To the OP, I can assure you that if you can only remember it being slightly pleasurable and are having blackouts you are doing too much. You state you can't get desired effects from a lower dose, so I really do think it's in your best interest to just stop now before true dependance develops. That happens rather quickly and puts you on a dangerously slippery slope. Also once you become dependent many of the effects you are seeing as pleasurable will diminish rapidly, and suddenly you're just left with the nasty addiction.

Please avoid if at all possible.
