Medical Marijuana in NC

Woo Hoo! There is a bill in the NC legislature for medical mary jane. I could legaly grow up to 100sq feet of bud.

Now I just have to learn how to grow decent bud, oh and wait for the law to actualy get passed.
 
^ this would be amazing. i am a resident of north carolina and would love to see this passed even though i am not a candidate for medical marijuana.

Just say you suffer from migraines. I don't believe there are any conclusive tests to show whether you do or not. You are going to be set if this bill passes. =D
 
Just remember all you NC folks write your rep (your NC rep not your federal rep) You can find your district on your voter reg cards and your rep online once you know your district. We don't have the money of the pharma lobby but we can flood them with letters.

Still blows my mind it's being considered in NC, I really did not expect it.

Of course it does leave a minor problem, how am I gonna consume 2 oz a week. :)
 
that's great!

would love to see this pass, and can't imagine the boom it would be economically for a lot of areas that have been decimated by tobacco's fall from grace.

North Carolina has already passed decriminalization, hopefully for you guys you get medical (make sure to stop by NORML and write your congressmen). If you're looking for how to grow decent bud, stop over on rollitup.org -shepj sent ya.

What do you mean NC has already passed decriminalization? I live in Raleigh, NC and my friend got busted just yesterday for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Also I'm on probation right now and I get drug tested for weed AND I have to go back to that stupid drug class thing because I failed my last test.
 
^ yea i dont get the whole 'decriminalized" thing. im in chapel hill and if you get caught with weed u get screwed just as hard as anywhere else.
 
What do you mean "partially" decriminalized? The only thing like that I've ever heard is that apparently drug raids are no longer allowed for ONLY marijuana.. but I think that's in the whole US and I'm not even sure if it's true. Please tell me how NC marijuana laws are any less strict than anywhere else.
 
I'm sorry, North Carolina is decriminalized, there is no such thing as "partially decriminalized", if you're friend got in trouble with law enforcement due to small personal posession of marijuana, he had a shitty attorney.

Possession
1/2 oz or less misdemeanor 30 days* $200
1/2 to 1 1/2 oz misdemeanor 1 - 120 days** $500
More than 1 1/2 oz felony up to 12 months Discretionary Fine

*Suspended sentence mandatory.
**Community service or probation possible. 45 maximum for those with a clear record.
 
He didn't get IN TROUBLE, he got arrested and hasn't gone to court yet. But he did end up in jail for the night, only $750 bond though (I assume since he said I need to pay $75 to get him out and it's 10% with a bondsman.) Alright well in my head when I hear the word DECRIMINALIZED then that makes me think that's it's legal. The fact that they still charge you and possible jail time if you take the suspended sentence makes it illegal.
