A good friend of mine has Ventricular tachycardia and she really wants to try MDMA but is scared because of her disease... is this just an incredibly bad idea in general or could it be relatively safe if using the right precautions? Please only intelligent answers :) thanks everyone

There is only one intelligent answer..............ask a doctor.

I find it hillarious that you come into a public forum and then demand only intelligent answers.............in the end how are you going to know which answer is correct?

By how it sounds?

Or do you just want to hear the answer you want to hear?

Seriously............you ask so you will get what you get.

i dont demand intelligent answers, i just wanna know to the most of everyones knowledge... why must you people be so rude? i just asked a simple question hoping for someone to shed some light whether this is incredibly dangerous... dont answer if youre gonna be a dick

For the most part, she should research all the effects that MDMA has on the body. She should cross reference them to known dangers to her condition. For example, if she is to avoid high blood pressure, extended physical activity, high heartrates for hours, etc, then she should not even consider doing it. The best advise was found above, consult a doctor. Not to tell her that its ok to do, (because they wont), but to find out what dangers she should be aware of. A pharmacist may possibly be in an even better position to help understand reactions if she is on any medication. No night of rolling is worth dying for. good luck

HELL NO,
if u suffer from ventricular tachycardia you shouldn't even take caffeine.

mdma might not kill her, but it certainly is a very bad idea.

Sounds like a bad idea. Asking a doctor would be best. I believe some doctors allow you to communicate with them through the internet. If your friend's physician has such an avenue of communication, I would recommend that. It would also be wise to base your decision from the advice of your friend's physician, since he probably knows your friend's degree of Ventricular tachycardia best.

I WOULD NOT make a decision based on internet research and advice from pre-meds because the answer you get will likely be the one you are looking for.

Good Luck.

The MDMA wont be that big of a problem but what other meds is she using?

MDMA isnt a stim as such (like speed/caffeine) and shouldnt really screw around with blood pressure or heart rate.

When you think though that any drug can put a strain on a healthy body - if the body isnt working correctly (Liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, brain etc) then the chances of problems only increases.

It's quite dangerous, especially if using pills which might have speed in them. What sort of precautions were you thinking of?

ive had superventricular tachycardia in the past, however, ive had the corrective surgeory.

Ive tried all mainstream drugs. Some exert more pressure on my heart than others. Meth/ice on my first time made my heart beat at such a rate i thought my tachycardia had returned because it didnt stop for hours, well after it wearing off.

Yes yes im a dick for risking and playing with life, but despite what ive done, ive always researched everything ive ever consumed to be fully aware of the risks and consequences involved. I cant believe im sitting here justifying that but hey.

Your deff doing the right thing about making enquiries for harm reduction purposes, but like thers have said, this is something which should be discussed with her doc and for her to understand how badly effected her heart is. it is a gamble, but lifes full of risks.

anymore questions about my experiences please feel free to ask :)

id say hell no....
You never know what else might be in the pill.
If you have amp. or ketamine in the pill it could really make her heart race and be life threatening.
Talk to your doctor. There are antiarrythmics ect that she can take or is probally taking to prevent such an episode but your still playing with life / death. That IMO will bring down her high and scare the crap out of her during her roll.

there's a big difference between superventricular and ventricular tachycardia, the latter usually being more serious...

even thoug with your history too,
doing all those drugs was still a stupid idea (luckily you made it =D)
