I'm about to take some MDMA, but I know I'm probably not going to get to sleep later.

Does Melatonin increase Serotonin levels in the brain? I heard that Serotonin converts into Melatonin, so I assume Melatonin is the final stage and wouldn't convert back into Serotonin, thus eleminating the fear of Serotonin Syndrome?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

It doesn't convert to seotonin as far as I'm aware. It also won't help you get to sleep. It only serves to regulate sleep which is a different thing entirely. Just a take a benzo if available, or failing that, a shit load of kava kava (1000mg?) and some red wine.

Yeah melatonin won't help you get to sleep, but will certainly not put you at risk for serotonin syndrome because when melatonin levels increase serotonin levels usually decrease hence more serotonin is converted into melatonin. However, I think exposure to light lowers melatonin levels & increases serotonin, that's why melatonin levels are usually higher in winter than spring or summer. Take care mate.

OP is correct

Melatonin does cause some wicked dreams, especially in super high doses

It's a very very safe chemical
