mdma and meditation

Hi people

I have been wondering for some time now if mdma will be effective during meditation. I am not into that into altered states of minds just to have fun, aka not much drug trips for me, so I have no prior experience at all with this drug.

The last couple of times I smoked weed I got a little... well, angsty, so I've stopped. Is there any chance of me having a bad time on mdma? I would think not, as it releases serotonin and is used to treat trauma and stuff, but I'm a newbie asking anyways, to be sure.

Is there any chance of me not being able to concentrate while on molly? That is sort of the key with meditation; focus.

Anyone tried to meditate on mdma before?

Could you for example read on mdma? Would it make alice in wonderland even more amazing? Or would it just make you want to shut the book and start dancing?

Does anyone knows what sort of brainwaves molly favors? For example, have you tried molly listening to binaural beats? Does it fit best with beats for the gamma waves or delta waves?

Then I would know what sort of meditation I could try.

I would assume it works best with gamma waves, and stuff like dmt hitting the delta waves? - but that is just my assumptions; I would like to know, so if anyone has any thoughts on this...

And lastly, I guess I have to tell you guys what I'm hoping to get out of this, so you could give me advises and/or laugh at any misconceptions I have, based on what I'm hoping to achieve. The background story is that I used to have insane fear of heights before, I even got panic attacks at big heights, but not even a year ago I tried out fasting; I only had 200 kcal each day for three weeks. That put me into a mode that for me seems to sound a little bit like what mdma does; there was at least some serotonin flowing, everything was lucid and clear and felt wonderful, every color and taste made a bigger impact. I went to some heights that I always felt dizzy and scared at, but no fear emerged, I just looked down and felt nothing. I even climbed down thinking quietly yo myself "this is dangerous, I'm not conscious of where I'm putting my feet, this sure might be dangerous" but I didn't feel a single inch of fear at all. I just felt contempt and satisfied. Then I meditated on the top just to get this new fearlessness programmed deep into my subconscious.

Since then I have not had any fear of heights at all. I've tried it out on big towers, but it's just the normal buzz in the tummy everyone gets.

I'm not going to fast in such an insane way again, and thought perhaps mdma would be a good thing to try, so I can tackle some of my other fears. I thought about writing down the things that are holding me back in life, the things I am afraid of, then take mdma and meditate on it, and really go through every aspect of my fear. And focus/reprogram my brain software.

Any answer is appreciated. Thanks.

MDxx is EXTREMELY helpful for light hearted introspection into your life, I've found MDA to be better than MDMA for this purpose but either one will work fine.

In the case of meditation, a light dose would be best to keep your mind clear but give you the compassion that you need to look at your own flaws. It's an EXTREMELY helpful drug for therapy, even if that therapy is self applied.

I've heard about Buddhist monks taking MDMA to assist in meditation.

I assume you could have amazing results with it as long as you take great pains to make sure your setting is damned near perfect. I think your ability to become distracted might be slightly magnified.

I think it would help more in low doses, as the higher the dose the more your inhibitions go away, and the shorter your attention span gets.

I think it would be better on a high dose where you can become totally immersed.

High dose is where the psychedelic properties come to the forefront.

Low dose just scatters my thoughts and is a total waste imo.

You can read on mdma but usually after the peak. Ever had to close one eye whilst peaking and trying to read you phone screen?

Dunno about closing an eye, I can't even read it with both my eyes. It's just a big blurry mess.

I see. well, I've know some people using mdma, so I can be safe on what I get and I don't want any risks at all dealing with a world I'm not too familiar with, so mda have to wait
thanks for the answer : )

that reply made me read about mdma and it's "spiritual" sides - zen monks etc - for a couple of hours : )

okay, I think I get it a bit better know. not only does the drug have an obvious therapeutic effect, but with people experienced in meditation it seems to have a lot of deeper sides. meditating releases serotonin, so mdma would be a nice shortcut towards satori if you manage to control it. but I have also read a lot of people who don't get any effect like that at all; seems like they weren't really trained in any spiritual quests at all, just dabbling a little. your advise "get the setting damned near perfect" is something I will try to absorb. ginseng, green tea and ginger is probably better for the beginners who just needs a little help concentrating(I use that mix myself), while it seems to me that experienced meditators could have enough discipline to really unlock the potential of mdma.

hm. scientists keep saying mdma is probably the safest drugs out there, yet everybody is only talking about legalizing weed(the drug that slowly eats your soul away). we need to get mdma to the corner store quick.
