Hi all! My apologies if this has been discussed before, I did a bit of digging and only saw one other thread with one reply, but is anyone aware of any negative reactions between MDMA and anti-psychotics, specifically Quetiapine?

Looking to roll with my partner but she is on 150mg of quetiapine daily, and looking to take 150mg of MDMA just wanna make sure we do it safely.

In My Experience, There Is No Negative Reaction Between MDMA & Seroquel Unless You Take Them At The Same Time, In Which Case The Seroquel Will Block The MDMA.

i'm talking to someone on reddit about this... does anybody have any more info on this? i'm googling and can't find anything... is it only SSRI's that don't go with MDMA, will that just dull the mdma, or will it actually cause problems?

are there any anti-psychotics that don't go with MDMA... i thought yes, but i'm not finding any good links to send this person to.

It Might Make You Type Every Word With A Capital Letter

(True Story)
i don't see a lot of point in capitalizing letters... don't really like how it looks most of the time and don't like hitting the caps key... sometimes i capitalize stuff.

yeah. this person says they are on abilify..

i dunno... it's on the schizophrenia section of the site, so there's not a lot of people posting with info... i'm trying to get them to post in the drugs or mdma forum to check... thought maybe you guys would know real quick... i don't want to see them get seratonin syndrome or whatever.

Why the fuck did someone raise this thread from the grave after nearly 3 years of it being dead randomly?
And, why am I the first person out of all of you who have responded so far to question this matter? Lol

Ohhhh, okay I see why you revived the thread now... Good to not make too many replicas I guess even though I'm sure it happens... Like, in this specific case, it would have probably been better off to make a new thread... But whatever lol

Mmm okay, so abilify would reduce the effects as would seroquel.... Abilify less so in some ways such as the stimulation but more so in terms of euphoria, but still noticably so... It might also make the MDMA high more uncomfortable body feel wise... Generally, its just a bad idea and wouldn't be fun... Both increase risk of cardiovascular events (i.e. arrhythmia which can stop your heart)
I have never had a reaction with molly and seroquel, often I use it for sleep and have used it after a festival or rave.
Yes, it can be relatively safely used on come-down for sleep.

All in all: Don't mix the two even though the risk of Serotonin Syndrome itself is very low. It is there with SSRIs (won't just blunt effect, but also risks serotonin syndrome as it increases amount of serotonin in synaptic cleft substantially.)

thanks for the heads up I will keep that in mind.

THANK YOU POSTER SHULGINS REINCARNATION... i quoted this to them "so abilify would reduce the effects as would seroquel.... also mentioned i didn't recommend it, and they should google more info, but yeah... thanks a bunch.

also about the old thread thing.. i just felt like this had the perfect title for my topic and there wasn't a lot of clutter, so my question would probably be seen... some users are a fan of topping old threads... i didn't think there'd need to be a big discussion and if people wanted to make a bigger discussion there was already user rectify's experience.

oh so now you have a reason to use capital letters

i see how it is

lol... seriously.. it's my posting style.... caps are only for really needing to say something... i can point to examples in other threads if you want.. heh.

on the subject of capital letters, when writing poetry for emo music or just stereotypical for late 90's and 2000 emo kids, it's all lowercase letters. i kind of took my style from that.... the releases from bands would always have the lyrics in lower case courier or ariel fonts. lol. looked really appealing to me.

i always use "..." for a pause when i'm debating on whether or not to make a new paragraph. i made an innovative new punctuation style influenced from the emo generation.

Olanzapine and mdma can cause the body’s heat to rise uncontrollably. You need two to three days without olanzapine to roll safely

I have been on Abilify and Lexapro for 1 and 2 years and the Lexapro blocks the Molly, but I keep trying anyway in case I can feel the extras, and I have never had any issues with taking it on the Abilify. Not to say there won't be, but I am skeptical about Seratonin Syndrome, b/c Abilify isn't an SSRI.

This thread got kind of derailed, but yes abilify is not an SSRI and has fuck all to do with the original question which was presented in a way that allowed us to easily side track. I already very elaborately answered the question and said nothing about serotonin syndrome relative to the person taking it who is on abilify. Honestly, this thread was revived to limit clutter, but there should be a new thread to limit clutter if people want to keep debating the serotonin syndrome thing even though every bit of evidence makes it clear that my original claim is the most valid in terms of scientific accuracy. You are right about that at least. Thank you.

On a side note since we are just going to clutter up this thread for no reason now, and I do NOT know the mechanism of action at play here so do not ask, but lexapro is the only SSRI I have tried that BLOCKS the effect of cannabis in me. Weird huh?
