What is matter?

Matter can be described either as:
The substance of which any physical object is composed.
or,
It can suggest the current condition of a human's perception; Usually negative

With that said I would like to provide an answer for the question: 'What is the matter?'

Matter is the matter. If it wasn't for matter nothing would matter.

@Psyduck
I was merely stating an interesting observation of homonym. It's just a similarity I noticed that I was pointing out. Of course there will always be someone trying to disprove our theories. That is what makes it so fun to theorize right? I understand your point, but couldn't you disprove just about any idea with the same logic? In reality we will never be able to fully understand our existence, or at least not put it into words because words cannot do it justice.

^ my remark was meant to be constructive.

I thought you were looking for a definition of 'matter'.

What's the matter with matter? Doesn't matter!

Harmless homographical and homophonical fun rolled in to one :)

Everything is matter because it matters. Everything matters because it's matter.
Everything is matter and everything matters.
Therefore matter and something mattering is one in the same.
Therefore there is no insignificant or out of place thing in the universe or in your life.
Or maybe I'm just BSing who knows?

i wanna figure out how to create matter. cloning is as close as i can come lol

Matter is atoms. About 4.6% of the universe.

surely you're simply discussing two homonyms (same spelling and pronunciation but different meaning).

the two meanings are quite distinct (not to mention that, in your example, they are different parts of speech - one is a noun and the other a verb).

That is true, but that reply is very dry and not as much fun as some free spirited word play; I love and live for the muse of it all.

For me, matter is the weight of focused observation.

( or something like that? )

Crew me up Scottie!
