We saw 2 tragic mass shootings in America this weekend.

One by a right wing extremist, one by a left wing extremist.

Difference is that the right disavows violence & extremism. The left (or at least many prominent people on the left) don't, & some actively encourage violence.

So we can admit that if SHTF the authorities would easily turn on its citizens. But it's a "conspiracy theory" to suggest that it's covertly happening already, in order to preventatively disarm citizens.

The reason for a disproportionate # of these attacks in the US is because they're probably coerced, produced, encouraged. There are many societal variables and influences (medication, social alienation, mental illness) which produce vulnerable victims/targets/patsies who are prodded and who then take the fall, sometimes with other mercenaries directly involved. You can do it with a Muslim (Pulse) or you can do it with 4chan-trolling incel-white guy. The US is the last stronghold for armed citizens. The purpose for these attacks is to sway public opinion overwhelmingly in favor of gun control, plus being used to conveniently alter news cycles away from damaging headlines .

For the military-trained posters above I'd like to hear your opinion on the recent El Paso shooting - shooter had a knock-off AK with 1 magazine (32 rounds), we have 20 dead and 26 wounded. Does the shooter fit the profile of someone capable? Because earlier reports from multiple witnesses (as there always are) is multiple shooters involved.

It was a WASR-10 which is a Romanian AK and one of the best built in the world...bearing in mind a 7.62x39mm will go through several people in a crowded area and it was at close range that sounds about right for anyone with even a modicum of experience...

Think it would be 31 rounds max though as the magazine only holds 30 plus one in the chamber

And he killed like 170 odd people..

Truth is anyone whose been in the military and done their basic demolition course can make explosives at home with stuff bought at a hardware store.... Making an effective detonator (one that only goes off when you want it to) is a bit harder but not that hard.

Bombs are much more effective than guns tbh.. Amd you don't even need to be there when it goes off
 
I'm not sure here if this is right to say or not but yeah I agree with you @apocalypse_when when I was younger we used to make all kinds of fucked up stuff as teenagers, some went bang too shall I say & we were using shit out of the kitchen & garden.

If memory serves me right McVeigh killed a lot more than that, when you add in the people with no arms & / or legs that survived it is even worse.

Personally I think being taken out with a hollow tipped round to the head is quite a decent death, I'd prefer to die that way than have bone cancer for example & WE ALL DIE.

I suppose awe inspiring isn't quite the right word when you realise there are people being vaporised underneath those bombs, but i saw a B1 drop 3 x 2,000lbers simultaneously on A Taliban bomb making factory in the Helmand valley in 2008 and it was FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! Especially when your mates have been killed and maimed by those very bomb makers.... This may not be politically correct, but fuck em... They got what they deserved.

Yeah true... Hydrogen peroxide based explosives ANFO, and even nitroglycerin are piss easy to make.. Although the latter is somewhat unstable to say the least.

Interestingly, hollow points are banned in warfare for being too brutal and we have to stick to full metal jacket but they are fine for the pigs to shoot you with.... Makes zero sense to me
