Mass Shooting and Gun Control Megathread

Absolutely ridiculous. Actively encouraging violence. This is horrible. I fucking hate Nugent... I like stranglehold though lol.

I fail to see anything wrong with what he said ,the truth is is that most of the "problems " in this country can be laid at the feet of the libtards and or the Dems. Sorry but that is the truth . And the truth don't care about your feelings.

The best thing to do to end all the bullshit is the one thing that none of you liberals will admit is the solution. Do away with gun free zones, pass open carry laws coast to coast. And arm willing teachers to carry during school hrs so that at least they have a chance bto stop the next asshole that feels the world did him wrong and is now gonna make everyone pay . There will always be crazy people always has been and its not gonna change. Banning guns will just lead to having to ban knives ,ball bats and on and on .

How?
other than the five percent of the time they are training with them
their firearm are locked up
tighter than ft. knox gold bullion
Yeah I attended shows at Quantico every MP guiding us in had that Puny 9 MM Barretta but you know the Guards at entrance all had M-16s saw them is a special attachment on wall --Fi active base is not guarded by MPs with at least M 4s or MG 249 then maybe we need no Defense period ... ????? Plus be honest Minute M-16 were issued back in Vietnam - that was biggest mistake in weapons Man ever made. I shot all of them and ben better to advance the M-14 .308 back then and Make bulkier
and simpler M 16 designed to use .308s But Stoner convinced Pentagon Light weight and accuracy . Sure but spare me the tumbling effect ... I did some serious Engineering and shooting of composites .5.56 Hollow points little damage but .308s FMJ not even HP tore the hell out of target at 50 ft all been done by NIJ and Aberdeen. America is Known for BIG once good Quality and strength so issue Men Varmit Ammo to fight with and complex rifles? Sorry but Army and Marines need all to switch real battle rifle. ( I like the Soccom II)Shorten down version of M-14 with Mil SPEC scope not that AOG but good Contractor make Super tough and designed for day /night vision. And after 9/11 soldiers are trusted with tool of defense and actual base unarmed HUH wow thats like pool without water> Base commanders dictated to by Politicians and 1970s and 1980s all bases allowed personnel weapons. Well I had shot them both and was shooting FOX M4 M16 any 5.56 just fine but I'm against Men on battle field or Firefight Be very happy with M-14 modern version> SOCOMM II G3 but doubt US will use German Rifles but good for everything.

You've somehow managed to simultaneously come off as very uninformed, inflammatory, childish and brainwashed, all while saying absolutely nothing.

This attitude is not only unproductive and misguided, its embarrassing to witness.

You advocate violence because you think its a way to "own the libtards"... go read a history book, or any book in general.

When Trump spoke at the NRA convention, no guns were allowed inside. Now, if he's not safe in a room FULL of "good guys with guns," how are kids safe with a single armed teacher?

I wondered about that and then learned that it's Secret Service protocol to not allow any guns near a current or previous President

Plus generally loaded guns aren’t allowed in convention centers. Gun shows, they have police at the door check you over to be sure anything you bring is in a case with no ammo.

Reading the last few pages I believe these are the conversations law makers should have. You all make a lot of logical sense. Some very good thoughts. Intelligent and mature. Something our lawmakers are not.

I think arming teachers is about as asinine a solution that I've ever heard and you're not the first one to say it. Take Uvalde for example, the school resource officer had a chance to shoot the gunman but either didn't fire or fired and missed. Then the actual city's police department, dozens of officers stood outside for over an hour, all of them armed to the teeth. And you actually believe a teacher with a fraction of the training required of police will somehow become Superman and be able to subdue a gunman without incurring innocent casualties? What bizarro world do you live in?

“This policy to deny the sale of excess ammunition not only would freeze over 30 percent of the 5.56mm/.223 caliber ammunition used by law-abiding gun owners,” Oliva said, “it risks the ammunition industry’s ability to surge production capacity for national defense if the costs to maintain the present workforce isn’t recouped through sales to the civilian market.”

I heard about that on Thursday. Purchased 500 rounds of M855 yesterday. I’d have bought more but that was pretty pricey.

Nice. I bought some 556 at an estate auction that is labeled M1A3 and is South African, had some loose green tips in the lot too, only 15 of the green tips tho.

I haven't found out what the M1A3 is equivalent of. Do you know?
They're in cardboard boxes

Exactly the same as this pic

If I had to guess I’d say regular M193 ball rounds they generally used before the switch to M855 ‘penetrators’. Now the military is using M855a1 rounds which have a copper tip and actually pierce armor plates IIRC which are illegal for civilians, but that’s relatively recent and M193 is still used for training.

The cowards never even tried to open the door, it was also unlocked... This is why they're trying to hide the video

“Surveillance footage shows that police never tried to open a door to two classrooms at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde in the 77 minutes between the time a gunman entered the rooms and massacred 21 people and officers finally breached the door and killed him,” the San Antonio Express-News reported, noting that the information came from a law enforcement official who was involved in investigating law enforcement’s response to the tragedy. “Investigators believe the 18-year-old gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers at the school on May 24 could not have locked the door to the connected classrooms from the inside.”

you're critical of teachers who don't feel comfortable around guns?

Is having a fear of guns a critique or an observation?

A healthy fear of guns is best for both gun owners and non gun owners alike. A healthy fear of guns allows someone to use them properly. A healthy fear of guns keeps them well oiled and in good shape to not misfire. A healthy fear of guns keeps us reminded that all guns are loaded. A healthy fear of guns keeps our trigger finger flat against the side of the trigger instead of sitting right on the panic button ready to make a mistake. A healthy fear of guns makes sure our ammo is well stored away from moisture.
