i found this browsing through reddit and no wonder its ignored and abandoned considering its quite controversial;
but i was thinking, not supporting this idea, but isnt that smarter than shooting people in schools to just use a torch? you know, NOT PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION OR SUGGESTION IN ANY WAY, but i thought the thread makes sense.
This is just more silly hypothetical nonsense used to justify NOT DOING ANYTHING to curb gun violence. Same with the arguments that "other countries have mass stabbing incidents." Even though it happens, I still don't think ANY country on earth has had 220+ mass stabbing incidents within 6 months.
Have you ever tried to set a brick or stone on fire? Because that is what most school exteriors are made of. Even if a torch was able to hit the roof and the roof wasn't metal, most schools have sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and even fire hoses. I don't think anyone can argue that the fastest most efficient way to attain mass casualties isn't with a firearm/assault rifle.
Do you honestly believe that having a gun for protection raises your risk of death ? Just curious, cause I feel very safe with my gunI love how the right-wingers always say If a person wants to kill people they'll do it-- using a knife, a baseball bat, etc...
OK, fair enough. So when the government takes your guns from you, they will give you all the knives, swords, hatchets, axes, bats, throwing stars, whatever you want. Since these things are EQUALLY LETHAL you'll be fine with that, right?
Also, let's look at simple facts. Owning a gun does NOT make you safer. Owning a gun makes your risk of death HIGHER-- by suicide and accident, of course, but also by homicide.
I am NOT anti-gun. I have plenty of friends who own guns and I myself have owned guns in the past. I AM anti-bullshit. Own a gun if you want, but don't tell me it makes you safer. It does not.

cause I feel very safe with my gun
Yea that is truly tragic when something like that happens, making sure kids cant get a handle on a gun is one of the most important parts of gun safety..I keep my guns in electronic gun safes, one bolted to my nightstand drawer for my pistol... But these type of tragedies falls under people to stupid to own a gun unfortunately..I don’t hope I’m not a victim , I prepared to not be a victimi'm sure you are safe - and i certainly hope you're never a victim. i expect a lot of gun owners - whose kids accidentally shot and kill another kid or their partner - feel the same way. reggie mabry maybe did. aja johnson maybe did.
stay safe.
- Californians living with handgun owners more than twice as likely to die by homicide, study finds
- A National Institutes of Health study found that for each time a gun is used for self-defense, there are 11 suicide attempts involving firearms, seven assaults or murders and four gun accidents.
- A study published in the Journal of Preventive Medicine found that using guns for self-defense during a robbery doesn’t lower one’s odds of being injured.

That logic is so fucking DUMMMMMB. FUCK!!!Im not very good with maths or statistics n what not but I think if your not suicidal or a complete dipshit who shouldn’t own a gun in the first place guns make you safer undoubtedly, I mean if someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night don’t you want a gun in your nightstand to protect your family ? I don’t know about you but when it comes to my family I don’t take any chances or put any good faith to not hurt us into someone trying to rob me…..and I can tell you with certainty I will shoot an intruder dead if they pose a threat to my family
Obviously there are irresponsible people who legally own guns, and who knows how you would go about stopping this from happening, what would you suggestso you're saying - or at least it seems you are implying - that you believe there are u.s. citizens who should not be permitted to carry guns?
beyond the currently forbidden categories like convicted felons, etc. i assume.
how would you go about defining and enforcing that?

How many of those statistics are based off of illegal gun ? And if you want to hope someone willing to break into your house isn’t going to hurt your family that’s on you, I’ll protect myselfThat logic is so fucking DUMMMMMB. FUCK!!!
What the fuck are you talking about man?? What person "breaking in to your house"? You wanna talk statistics? What is the REALISTIC STATISTICAL LIKELIHOOD of someone breaking in to your house in the middle of the night to kill your family??How many of those statistics are based off of illegal gun ? And if you want to hope someone willing to break into your house isn’t going to hurt your family that’s on you, I’ll protect myself
I completely agree. For me like outsider this pit, that you dug out and fallen into....really hard to escape.Talk about gun control.Just look what's happening.Too much weirdos, too much guns.Have not any idea how this shit could be resolved. But you must do it somehow.You-U.S. citizens and no one else.
