i havent researched this yet so i wanted to see what you guys thought... how does cannabis smoke NOT effect your lungs? smoke = absence of air. So how does it not cause severe damage? is it because it dissipates quickly or what? any ideas?
Absence of air doesn't damage the lungs. Ever held your breath?

But you're right, it does cause damage. I saw a case-study where a woman in her thirties from Britain who smoked 7-15 joints a day or something ridiculous like that developed emphysema. As for lung cancer, I'm not a doctor but it seems like marijuana alone doesn't cause lung cancer, but weed might make the damage of cigarettes much worse. Weed *does* have similar carcinogens to tobacco in its smoke, but I think it's hypothesized that weed smoke also kills old lung cells, thus reducing the chances of their turning cancerous.
tl;dr - if you're worried eat it or use a vape
