In my experience, physically marijuana affects your lungs more. I smoke cigs and dope everyday, there was a significant period of time where I had to take drug tests and smoked pot very rarely (once every few months) but took up cigarettes, during which I was fairly physically active lifting weights and boxing.
When I started smoking weed fairly regularly again, like 3 or 4 nights a week, so probably 2-2.5 grams a week. My fitness went to shithouse, when I would go boxing I would gas so easily.
When I use to smoke weed daily (and no cigs) I cough up black shit, now I smoked weed daily I cough up black shit lol. I never cough that shit up when I was just smoking cigarettes.
I think there is definately alot more tar in marijuana than cigarettes. Maybe there argument to cigarettes being more carcinogenic but I think logically, smoking any plant material for long periods of time COULD cause cancer.
People always say there isn't a single case of cancer solely attributable to marijuana use. Do you think you could point an ABSOLUTE sole cause of any cancer? That is shit that happens over a long time there are more than likelymany factors, heavy smoking just being a big one. Even presuming it was possible to do so, what are the chances someone who lived their life smoking weed frequently enough to be a real cancer worry (considering how many cigarettes one generally goes through before getting cancer) is going to have taken the utmost care to avoid all other factors? Chances are said person engaged in other cancer risk behaviours aswell imo.
