MAOI and anti-psychotics (clozapine)

Thread speaks for itself. Is it safe to take a dose of an MAOI (syrian rue or other) after roughly, 36hrs since last dose of clozapine? To be used in conjunction with shrooms or cactus etc.

I don't really see why it wouldn't be, but I'm no expert. Why not do it without the MAOI though, just to be safe(r)?

MAOI's (except maybe harmalas) with cactus maybe isn't a good idea anyway.

Probably, yes. Clozapine acts as an antagonist at many receptor types, and isn't associated with any degree of monoamine release so there shouldn't be any foreseeable interactions. Also, 36 hours seems like a decent amount of time.

I would be careful combining maoi's with cactus, definitely make sure you are using a RIMA like Syrian rue, and be really careful with your dosage. This is the kind of drug combination that can really go bad.
