Looking for a bit of advice

Don't smoke so much at once? Get a bit high, get used to the feeling, over time you can smoke more and the little anxiety attacks will be a non issue. It's not that we don't get them, it's just that we realise that its a stupid thing to worry about and worrying about it only magnifies the problem because it's all in your head. Sit back and relax. But until you're ok with that feeling, just smoke less, or slower. Don't just jam a massive nug in the pipe or roll yourself a massive reefer or something.

I get a very tight heavy feeling in my chest. And my throat seems to swell and have hella loogies..making me a bit nauseous.

That's what I felt like when I had a panic attack
Except I did throw up
And oddly enough (or not) it was weed that brought it on

Thank you guys for the input.

I'm getting pretty convinced that it's anxiety related. I think I'd like to get checked out for heart stuff just so I don't question it while high again. And the smoking less idea definitely sounds good, I'd been thinking I should do that. I should just take a few hits and see how I feel.

skeettls- how did you get past it?

If you're getting anxious every time you smoke, why do you still want to do it? I understand that you might feel like you're missing out, but if you don't enjoy the effects of a drug, don't do it. I found the euphoria and whatnot from weed diminished with time, and that negative effects such as paranoia and anxiety became more prominent in the experience. If the same is true for you, I just think that you could find another drug that requires less effort on you part, rather than forcing yourself to find being stoned enjoyable.

Careful with that advice. While weed isn't harmless, it's one of the safest drugs you could use recreationally. Beyond weed, you start moving into opiate, benzo, stimulant territory which if abused is going to cause problems far worse then a 'racing heart'.

Try smoking alone maybe.

^I didn't mean to give the impression that other drugs offer a similar safety profile to cannabis. I was just wondering why someone would continue to do something that they didn't particularly enjoy, and suggesting that there may be another substance which might be more rewarding. I certainly wasn't advocating substituting smack for spliffs, I was thinking more of mushrooms or kava or something.

Oh yeah, I get ya man. I shouldn't assume he'd become dependant even if he did try harder drugs anyway. Psychedelics are a great idea.
