Leftist Discussion Thread

Even though fascism has historically been a right wing thing, the leftists of today are much closer. They want more centralised power and stricter gun control. Fascists love having people disarmed.

Do you really want to live in a world where we assault people we disagree with? I agree that he is a dick with deplorable views, but use reason and logic and not the fascist methodology.

Only when provoked do I physically fight. Sucker punching a guy is weak as piss IMO.

Still, it was interesting Richard Spencer didn't fight back. I thought a fascist would certainly fight. I wouldn't have hesitated, if someone hits me from behind, I would instinctively start swinging. And I'm really not violent.

And lol at the fucking nutcases here who think the antifa guy should be shot. 8)
 
i also found it interesting that spencer didn't fight back. the downside for the fascist movement in gaining more respectability is that their leaders no longer have the strength and courage of thugs
 
He didn't fight back because he was outnumbered.

And imo he's a disgusting coward who deserved it.
Fascism is a conspiracy to murder. Fighting them is self-defence - and the only way to fight fascism is to hit em hard.

Really repulsive. This is not some abstract, hypothetical thing to talk about - as i said, fascism is a conspiracy to murder.
That's why anti-fascists are violant; because you can't reason with nazis.
To resist them is to do so physically.
 
I've noticed a very distinct divide forming across the United States and it appears to be getting wider. It is expressed here in the left and right.

It's a not unlike two famous sides, Green and Red.

If you can just breath a second, remember the old game of "Let's, you and him fight". A farce has been created for the American public (the most well armed people in the world) to begin hating each other with a footing of civil disobedience.

It appears to me that America has been played. You will find who is playing you if you follow the money. Right now someone is provoking you, to get you angry with each other, to start riots. Civil disobedience, in either a continuous or massive scale, will cause the wealthy to begin vacating. Corporations will begin moving there offices and operations overseas to more stable environments. Companies that are primarily liquid will go first and quickly. Jobs will begin to vanish and the cycle of desperation will spin out of control while the backbone of what was once a great nation is busted.

The media appear to be out to creating an environment of fear. Once people entertain the idea that their neighbour is going to kill them, and they must defend against him/her, you should be able to see it's already gone too far. What I see on TV, read on BL or, in media on the Internet in general is all saying the same thing to me. America needs to unite or the once great nation is going to burn up from the inside. Imagine a civil war happening inside your borders. If the image portrayed on TV is accurate you all have weapons. You thought you were buying them to stop an invader but all they need to do is make you stop working as a nation and stop trusting each other. Shoot a few bullets in America and who knows what the results might be when everyone has a hot temper.

Please wake up America you are being played and it isn't the people you think that are your enemy. The man next door, regardless of his race or ethnicity want exactly the same life you want.

The few who are really pulling your strings fear only one thing, a united strong American people. You, not your leaders, are the real strength that made America great. To make America great you must end internal dispute. The only enemy inside your walls is fear of your neighbour, pay attention it is already beginning.

I totally agree, and before i am accused of inciting violence, i should point out that i used to consider myself a pacifist. I would never fight (a rich man's war, or for my country) except in self defence.

"Race" politics divide otherwise harmonious communities for the benefit of the few, which is (part of) the reason i have no time for arguments advocating so-called "white nationalism" or other PC euphemisms for noxious politics.

We've been trying to reason with the unreasonable for a decade or 2 now. All we get is constant hypocrisy, name calling and ad hominems, and endless sophistry in return. The ones responsible for things continuing to decline are the ones who shout "sjw"/"leftist"/"libtard"/"socialist"/"communist"/etc at everyone who isn't an extreme right wing regressive totalitarian (ie, a fascist) like them, who believe in "alternate facts" (ie, delusions) and call "fake news" at everything that doesn't agree with their delusional worldview, who refuse to leave their echo chamber bubbles of faux news and breitbart. I mean srsly, anyone calling right wing conservative authoritarian neoliberal neocons like hillary "leftist extremist"s is clearly off the deep end, completely lost in tribalism and more interested in demonizing their perceived enemies than finding common ground or engaging in dialogue (I've tried dialogue with them plenty of times and they only ever argue in bad faith, they're more interested in "winning" than discussing anything).

In defense of the truth, I think he meant deportation or voluntarily segregating. I'm not sure how "peaceful" goes with killing. Not that I think he'd not stand by and let a violent form of it happen. Like Muhammad in the days he had to be peaceful to survive - they will not offend so much, but if they had strength/support, I'm sure they'd get on board with harsher measures.

I don't think deportation is really a good way to do things. I would much prefer self-segregation. Ideally this wouldn't be a lose-lose scenario. To think it would be is casting doubt in the abilities of people, based on race/culture, itself, IMO (like the idea that the world needs to be able to immigrate to Europe or other traditionally majority "white" nations to be successful is just in many ways wrong/misguided, and not consistent with the left's belief system).

As for anti-fascists and their lack of debating skills/arguments (they shy away from real ones, from what I've seen, and about the only ammo they have often is shame-throwing based on ideas/"morals" that aren't extremely well grounded... Really not sure how to say it, but it isn't well rooted), this is why they use violence. They inflame the situation with it, and honestly, I bet the fascists would have both more real "logic" firepower, and more conventional firepower on their side should a true 'war' break out. And part of the problem here is the left keeps egging it on, without having real conversation. I don't know - maybe they're just terrified.

The left, and their unwillingness to admit certain truths (the issues with so-called diversity and multiculturalism, and Islam here, specifically), is why Trump won in my country, and why other European populists are rising in popularity. The left did this. In just denying fact/reality, they opened the door wide-open for exploitation. Even if someone much more reasonable wanted to run for leadership, they would still have to take a hard-line, to win the right voting block- to win people, because the left just wouldn't align with reason/truth. It's pretty damning for them. I'm not even sure the left will have a candidate to win in four years, or even eight, if they keep this up. I wish they did (or that there was someone reasonable, rather), because I want pot and other drugs legalized, and universal healthcare. I just don't want my country replaced with those not of the traditional culture/people/religious-base, etc, as has been the trend. I want reason to prevail. I don't want the religion of political correctness, and luke-warm people.

I'm not saying physical resistance is always bad, but their tactics are stupid. Weak, actually. Why do terrorists continually bomb places? They don't have the means for better strategy, or other skills. I would love to see a more balanced approach from the left. If you have light on your side, you'll have more of a chance of winning- light meaning truth (and winning, gaining support -- who won in my country?...someone not afraid to name real problems, like porous borders, and Islam, where the left just denied Islam had anything to do with it-problems and continues to do so-- the left doesn't resonate with people like it thinks it does). You just need to learn to argue your point better and not just completely ignore problems many people see, that unfortunately come in good part with the package of "diversity", that we're just expected to swallow. Granted, there are plenty of problems from the right, as well, but once again, I don't see your spats of violence really doing anything but waking up a beast (and I don't really mean beast in the best sense of the word). All the farmers- all the white gun owners, that know how to use them, and to survive and hunt... Do you think they're "anti-fascists"? Not that they're Nazi, but in the face of these violent leftists...

When did the left get Violent?

Sorry I'm not violent and I don't know a left leaning person who is. I know a lot of violent right wing people. Both Islam and Christianity are right wing groups. Although I don't really know that Christian has much meaning in the west with regards to idealism or political views. Thanks to a better education there are less violent extreme individuals. However if you disenfranchised people and enforce outside beliefs or excessive petty laws, violence is just below the surface, about as deep as the education.
