And for the record, you're somewhere in the 'right' part of the spectrum, anyone who supports someone like Trump is, and that's a fact. Trump is moving more and more rapidly in the fascist direction and denying that is like denying water is necessary for human existence.

I think he meant that if the federal government moves much more right, we'll be facing a fascist police state, and as such he will need protection from extremists and para-militarists. I agree with that, I'm considering buying my first firearm because of the direction things have been going this year. I want to guarantee my safety and rights.

You don't have to be so combative about this, I wasn't saying you were an extremist, but rather that if you do in fact support Mr. Trump, then you support extremist ideals by proxy.

Yes, it's people like you that would cause me to stock up also (you support Mr. Trump's positions, yes? Correct me if I'm wrong), that doesn't mean I'd want to kill you or anyone if I could avoid it; rather, I'd be able to stop people if they came at me. Isn't that a reasonable precaution?

I'm sure you believe in protecting yourself from unwarranted aggression, yes? Of course, I cannot answer for PA, I'm simply saying you and I interpreted his reply in completely different manners.

Exactly. I own 2 Shotguns and 2 Rifles but id want a semi auto Rifle that's for intermediate distances for defense that is abit further away then a 12 gauge can handle. That shooting up in Quebec city by a crazed Trump fan could have just as easily have happened in a city where i know Muslims that occasionally go to Mosques. If some crazed white supremacist tried to kill my g/f or friend simply because they where the wrong color/religion in their eyes you had better bet i would invoke the right to self defense.

We didn't intervene when the fascists took over Spain and look what happened after that. I really think we could learn from history and not give them a second chance.

It's not so much what you as a person say it's what you support. The far Right in America and Europe is starting to look way too much like the Fascist movement in the 30's. Right wing populism, Ultranationalism, the strongman cult of personality, Authoritarianism, Corporatism, etc are all rearing their ugly heads abit too much for my liking. Sadly Liberals are of no use in combating this as they essentially would rather side with the far Right then actual Communists and thus aid in the rise of fascism. So what are Socialists to do when we are essentially left on our own to defend against the rise of Fascism? Personally id rather have the ammo (and if i had the money a few real nice guns like semi auto .50bmg Anti-materiel Rifles) and hope i never have to use it and just end up shredding a old truck with it eventually then need it and not have it.

I'm not saying guns are the answer because they are not ideas are. But given the right material circumstances violence may very well become a legitimate political tool against the far right. What is needed is for the real left to actually organize a united front built from the working class for the working class of the world. It's pretty obvious that middle class Liberals are sure as fuck not going to help us so we obviously have to help ourselves.

Well you seem to support Trump and a few Euro Trump wanna be's like Farage. Given what he's done and endorsed that puts you in the far right spectrum in my books anyway.

I like that he is willing to trade with the UK after we leave the EU but other than yhst Im not too interested in him.
