Lebron james vs Kevin Durant

I would rather have LeBron. With Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Wait... I already do :p

I don't know who I would choose of those two, but my #1 player in the NBA is Kobe followed by Wade. After that I would put LeBron, then Durant. Fifth best in my opinion would be Dwight Howard.

Give it a few years, two years ago I would have laughed, but James may be lacking a certain "it" quality that the GOAT-Jordan, and the runner ups-Bryant/Chamberlin, had...

He may not be as "alpha", at least in mindset, as he needs to be,regardless of how many titles he rides Wade/Bosh to...

Durant just may be the best player in the league come 2013...

nothing is comparable to Michael Jordan. he is probably the greatest, most intriguing athlete of our time. and this is a time frame that includes the likes of Mohammad Ali

Yea Lebron just doesnt have the drive that Jordan had. I cant see Lebron dropping 40+ points with food poisining in the playoffs like Jordan did. Durant looked great playing for the US in the world championships but thats not the NBA.

Based on the comprehensive personality assessment of LeBron we all were exposed to, I would venture a guess that LeBron has always had more of a point guard mentality than that of a dominant shooting guard or small forward. He is more of a Magic Johnson type, minus the HIV.

LBJ is an amazing player, but I expect him to quit during the playoffs. at least this year he won't be the only person on the team with an above-average level of talent

I doubt it. I don't think he quit in the first place. He just has trouble with that game winning shot. Wade doesn't, so it's not an issue for us Heat fans.

I'm really hoping for the Heat and Cavs meet up for the first round of the playoffs. I think Cleveland is probably about an 8-seed this year. Miami should sweep them.

no shit Miami would sweep them, easily. I actually thought Cleveland could make the 8th seed but many of my compatriots are very, very doubtful. I remind them that making the playoffs in anything less than the 6th seed is useless anyways.

I'm not being a hater, I actually am a big fan of Wade and the Heat. LBJ is obviously a sore spot because of lackluster performance in the playoffs and the way he handled himself.

quit or not; he laid an egg. there's no denying that. multiple eggs, actually

the only reason I didnt include kobe in this thread is because I consider him the best playing right now nearly on par with Jordan. although for second place however with durants play last year and now his play over the summer bringing the US a gold (something both lebron and wade could not do together when they played in the worlds I might add) I think durant may be getting closer to that "second best lable tied with wade maybe or lebron depending on your viewpoints

no way is Kobe on par with Jordan. some people just forget the 90s and that killer instinct on display every game from Jordan

hes not jordans equal but hes closer than most people give him credit for. 5 rings and still 3 more solid shots at additional rings, 81 point game, too many end of game heroics to count.

this isnt about goat tho. i was just wondering what BLs general perception of durant vs lebron was just because one of those two is who kobe will most likely pass the torch to. im really starting to side with durant because of his mid range game, along with the work ethic side of his personality that he has shown this summer

Statistically Durant will forever look superior to LeBron, due to the fact that LeBron is on one of the greatest teams of all time and may switch to point forward. I expect LeBron will average about 20pts 10ast 7reb a game in Miami. Wade will look like the more viable Jordan comparison type player.

If I were building a team from scratch and could only choose one of either Durant or LeBron, I would choose Durant, but only because he is younger. I still think that LeBron is the overall better player however, even though Durant is a better pure scorer.

I wouldnt be suprised if lebron averaged a triple double, but in the 15-10-11 range feeding wade and bosh. I mean someone is going to have to sacrafice there shots. and it makes sence that it should be lebron considering hes the better passer of the 3. If he will do it or not is a different story though. maimi also needs someone to sacrifice position on shots for positions on rebounds being really week at center, bosh likes to play at the elbow so hes not going to give you that 13 a night so again lebron could fill that need for extra boards

the stats should be like this if they want to win

wade: 30-5-5
Lebron: 15-10-11
bosh: 29-3-10

its really hard to have 3 guys go for 30 a night without killing team chemistry imo

If you think that semi-literate, completely inconsiderate, megalomaniacal, non-self-actualized hick is more intriguing than Mohammad Fucking Ali, that's very telling.

You think MJ would have passed up years of his prime for a cause greater than himself?

I mean, other than by being unofficially suspended by David Stern.

Ali is the epitome of awesomeness.

Kevin durrant hands down, he is man enough to carry and stay true to his team ather than give up since he cant win or at least try the way "King" James dicked over Cleavland is beneathe anyone. Lets air a show to illustarte my importance to my home town and how much I hate them while trying to be classy,

Overall Kobe is the man in the NBA and forever will be until he retires.
