Saw it the other day and I cannot believe how crooked some of these tobacco giants are picking on poorer / low-GDP nations by way of threats to take them to international court because their governments are trying to educate their citizens of the possible long term risks of tobacco smoking.

Nothing personal against tobacco consumers though. It's your body, and you should be allowed to do what you wish with it - without the need for a government permission slip - as long as it doesn't cause someone else physical harm. Heck I smoked nearly 2 decades - who am I to judge you?

On the other hand though, fuck Philip Morris International and the other tobacco giants who are threatening third world nations with international litigation because their brands' popularity is being undermined by governments that want to do the right thing with respect to keeping their citizens informed.

But seriously, I'm glad these scumfuck in PM are losing their battles, at least in larger countries.
