Mental Health Lamictal neck and shoulder pain.

So, I just started 2 days ago with 1 25mg tablet at night for the first two weeks and then I start taking two a day in two weeks. Whenever I've taken it, I feel pretty good until about mid afternoon and then my eyes, jaw, neck and shoulders have seemed very stiff/painful. I have Cervical Dystonia. But there is a distinct difference I can tell. I've read blah, blah, blah that it's a serious side effect, a common side effect, and a start up side effect. Lamictal can have numerous side effects. Are you taking any other meds along with it? I would give it a little more time to work properly. But if these side effects continue to be bothersome or get worse, contact your physician and let them know what's happening. I'm going to move this to Mental Health and hopefully, you will get more responses.

Yes, if it is continuing and bothering you, see your doctor. There is no reason to stay on med that is making you suffer.
