The original use of this herb(diadzin) is as a Chinese herbal treatment for moderating the consumption of ethanol. Although, after reading up on this almost unheard of herb, from what I can find it acts as a mild ALDH-2 inhibtor. ALDH-2 happens to be a essential enzyme involved in metabolism of DA and 5-HT, but not on the level of an actual full MAO inhibitor. It's much more tolerated, and milder than a persription MAO inhibitor. Diadzin is comparable but has much less of the draw backs, an a actual nootropic effect. Anyway it supposidly tends to inhbit dopamine reuptake more than serotonin which would be a good balance for some who trying to recover from stimulant abuse of anykind. It has helped me alot, especially with consequences of ill-motivation and confused and drowzy state due to DA and norepinephrine depletion. Nothing phenominal just a little easier to focus, and generally move through the day much easier then anything has helped me w/o using amphetamines. I feel like even off adderall after supplementing with this extract just something I had long forgotten a seemingly close to normal dopamine system which blew away a long time ago. As with every thing that seems to good to be true, especially drugs the effect prolly won't last very long but hopefully i've built up some DA/5-HTP so I'll be able to get through the day atleast 40% easier wit no amps. rather than 10. Also I'm not naive in dealng wth these issues I've tried wellbutrin=pure anxiety, a little extra focus, l-dopa, l-tyrosine, provigl(useful with acute withdrawal) and hosts of others anyways sry for all this wall of text #adderall problems lol
