Kratom to Bupe

Hi! So I'm worried about pw switching to bupe from kratom.
A little history...I was an IV h/fent user for 10+ years. Got sober 8/17 and relapsed on Fent 11/22 for a month. Started kratom after and I've been a daily user ever since. I'm on one of the largest doses I've ever heard of. I take 1500+ mg of Kratom extracts daily. (Up to 2 bottles extra strength k shots, suggested 6 uses per bottle) It's ALOT. It's affecting my health significantly and I have to stop. I know some folks think kratom is shit and has no affects but trust me, it does.
So I got a few strips to rid me of the withdrawal from it (its awful, id compare to H)but I've experienced pw by taking it too early from fent and I was literally dying. Def don't want to experience that again

Any info on how long I should wait or if kratom would even have any effect at all?? I took my last dose 9 hours ago and I'm experiencing the beginning of withdrawals. Thanks!

As long as you are solidly into withdrawal, you should be straight. I am not 100% sure that kratom has the same risks for precipitated withdrawal, as it's a partial agonist, not a full agonist like oxycodone, heroin, or fentanyl.

I would still wait a full 12 hours or longer just in case. I think the metric is basically as long as you're fully into withdrawal.

To anyone reading this in search of the same answer as OP;
I was in the same situation, but the other way around. I was quitting (still am really) subutex (buprenorphine) and I had the same worry one day when I ran out of kratom before my next delivery because the post office was fuckin up; and I had to buy some suboxone strips in order to not shit my pants and puke everywhere at work. I did some research, both online and on myself and have come to the conclusion that you (or at least myself and one other person) can take both bupe and/or naloxone directly after taking kratom with no issue at all. At the least it has no negative effect at all in terms of pw and at the "most" I find bupe and kratom to actually boost each other, or have a positive synergy even. I have taken these substances in every combination possible and have never experienced pw or anything negative.

Im not saying you should. Just letting people know. Kratom is technically not an opiate. It is a relative to the coffee plant it is technically more of a stimulant.. that creates a opiate like high in higher doses. bupe/naloxone only causes pw when "real" u-agonists are in your system i.e heroin, codeine.. I think, dont qoute me on that. I am pretty sure you're fine with all the synthethics like fentanyl, methadone etc.

I will admit this next part is purely bro science on my part but I do know Kratom creates the opiate like effect "indirectly" if you will. The only comparison I can think of is Tramadol and Tapentadol. They are technically SSRI's but also create that opiate like effect basically as a "side effect". It is interesting because the tramadol high is also much more "speedy" than real opiates/opioids. Kratom does to. maybe they are similar chemically idk. I would not say they have similar high's (haven't taken tramadol in decades) but they create the same "result" if u will (opiate high but speedy) only with kratom not coming with that disgusting "SSRI overload"-feeling.

Oh and I agree with OP. Kratom can be very powerful. I am life long, serious drug addict and kratom has helped me totally kill very powerful heroin, subutex and other opiate withdrawls. I have been kinda close to nodding on kratom on occasions even. It even helps going through withdrawals of other drugs like benzos and gabapentinoids, but not as much, not in the same way. It feels like the kratom plant is there specifically to help get people of painkillers, it's interesting.

People who say kratom has no to little effect have probably either bought some bad quality stuff or the wrong strain. Red strains are the ones that give the most opiate like, relaxing, sedating effect. green and white strains are more stimulating with white being the most stimulating. But even with red strains you kinda have to try out and find the one you like. People usually say Red Maeng Da is the "strongest" but I find Maeng Da to be not as effective on withdrawals or as sedating as Red Bali which is my fav, because I am looking for the hardest sedation possible. Even Red Borneo I find to be more effective than the Red Maeng Da. But idk. I have noticed the same strains in different shops can be very different. And i mean even visually.

Anyway. I am pretty sure it is not just me that can use bupe and kratom together without going into pw. But yeah, stay safe.
