I see my doctor tomorrow for my klonopin refill. I refilled last month on the 20th and Ive been scripted them for 4 years plus. But I got scripted suboxone a month and a half ago and they dont know yet. Question is, I really need the Klonopin as Ive been taking them so long I experience a mild-moderate withdrawal from them which the doctors know about. My mom called them a month or two ago saying I was an opiate addict but they gave it to me anyway. Just seeing if you guys think Ill be able to get it tomorrow. After 4 years plus on them I would think they would have to.

Benzos should not be prescribed long term, they are meant to provide relief WHILE you are getting treated ex. taking ativan while getting therapy for anxiety.

I don't know, but if you start getting withdrawals that suboxone should probably help dull the pain a little bit.

If your doctor isn't a complete asshole, they'll probably give you the Klonopin if you make it apparent you're going to have withdrawals.

I'd also recommend you see if you could get a little of valium and then taper off the Klonopin, use that close to the end, then taper off it. I don't know what your issue is in particular that you take benzos for, but if you continue to take them for this extended of a period of time eventually there will come a time where for whatever reason you won't have any and it will be horrible, considering 4 years worth of use causes a withdrawal that can last months.

Don't mean to intimidate or anything, but I would not recommend taking benzos for years.

I'm sorry. These types of threads are not allowed. We will have no way to know what your dr will think is ok and not ok.
