any ideas on harm reduction with these
a have noticed that while taking daily supplements of milk thistle and cranberry extracts negative side effects such as difficulty taking a piss fade away
any other suggestions ?

It seems to me with ketamine, I approach a black out before really experiencing undesirable side effects. I have seen people vomit while in k holes before though so having a sitter is probably recommended.

I vomited on mxe quite a bit recently on more than 100 mgs IM injection. I had little to no tolerance at the time, and I didn't feel as detached from normal consciousness as a k hole.

Other than those cautions I'd recommend having access to water.

Would work because of cranberry being a natural diuretic, but there is no reason to assume damage to your bladder will not still be done. Still, just to be sure as a precaution and to remedy symptoms I am not against it or anything. :)

Do you mean harm reduction in general? Or are you talking about chronic harm to your health as opposed to potential psychological harm or acute harm of inappropriate situations of usage?

I am always concerned about long-term neurological issues if I get too deeply into the dissociatives, I'm less concerned about the bladder issues. However, I don't want to take a lorazepam everytime I want to dabble in some MXE, which seems to be the popular advice for anyone worried about neurotoxicity. Any thoughts?

What's the theory behind that? I usually take clonazepam/zopiclone after PCP, but that's just because I usually end up taking it later in the night than I'd like and there's no way in hell I'd get to sleep before 8am otherwise...

As for harm reduction, I think the best thing you can do is not take it too often.

While being under influence I'd say drink plenty of water; keep it up the 1-3 days afterwards as well just to make sure you flush your bladder properly. Cranberry juice is good for your bladder so that is a possibility. I believe vitamin C is as well, and extra vitamin C won't harm.

Don't use enough to gain a proper tolerance; so twice a month at most of less would be good. Taking more risks getting a tolerance, and getting a tolerance makes it much more nasty for your bladder as more nor-ketamine will pass through it. If you already abused the substance and have a proper tolerance, grapefruit juice dóes work; it lowers the needed dose by about half for me and doubles the duration of effects. I noticed no unpleasant side effects from doing this other then it lasting longer so if you plan on sleeping afterwards its good to take the extra duration in account. This way you need less, so less has to be metabolised, which I assume is healthier on your organs.

Still its best to avoid that situation to start with by limiting use to 1-2 times a month. A recent study also claimed there were no mental impairments in the user group that does it 1-2 times a month, while the daily use group did show some impairment (ex-users however did not, suggesting any problems mentally are of a temporarely nature).

I have no clue which of this count for methoxetamine too, I wrote it all for ketamine, but I'd say treat it the same but with even more care as its new and barely researched, of ketamine we knów the risks; worse short term/ word memory and bladder issues; with methoxetamine we really have very little idea if any.

Well, it comes from this document, which was actually later retracted. It probably isn't the best resource, and it's definitely not a peer-reviewed scientific article, but it scared me when I read it years ago.

Do you know why it was retracted? Ok, maybe some of the risks will turn out to be exaggerated or just wrong if studied closer, and I just skimmed it a bit, but it looks like a pretty good article to me.

Edit - Nevermind, just looked at the top of the page :o Yeah ok, so it may not produce Olneys lesions or severe brain damage, other than that it sounds like good advice.
