Alright so this story about Kanye abusing Nitorus Oxide has being blowing up, and every other comment is about how it's too bad that Kanye has done permanent brain damage to himself and all that shit. Am I missing something here? Feels like one of those mass hysteria delusions about drugs, based on complete misinformation like the eating acid and thinking you're an orange for the rest of your life type of story.

Supposedly he had a qualified dental professional administering him with the stuff, so not only is it med grade, but he must be taking injection of B12 and having his stuff checked with bloodwork. I am not talking about the psychological effects of it just to be clear, the guy's a fucking mess and I don't even think it's just the drugs. But surely just by doing NOS that's not him destroying his brain for good, that's bullshit.

Any thoughts? Am I wrong and even if you had your B12 in check, you would still cause undoable damage?

I also find the story partially implausible. It's quite rare to see people abuse certain types of drugs and this story has the following ingredients:

* Unpopular person
* Celebrity
* Wild claim

Usually that would be enough to be suspicious that it's even true. You know what I mean? It's just so rare to meet someone who truly wants to do nitrous for like nine or ten days in a row. On the other hand, I have a below-average ability to spot this type of fake so I'll admit that perhaps he really is a gas head.

"The claims from Yiannopoulos come months after he exited his role at Yeezy due to West's porn studio project.

At the time, he revealed he was leaving because he "cannot be complicit in the production of pornographic films and literature, for moral and religious reasons."

He also stated that getting involved in the project would be "an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual."

Wtf..."former homosexual" 🤔

Sounds like a sex addict

Maybe he leaks this stuff in an attempt to stay relevant whenever he feels things are getting boring.

I think the “former homosexual” comment was made to get a reaction.

Then again, what do I know.

Yea I know what you mean, could be just complete bullshit and made-up.

I think either way it’s interesting to see what the public builds in their imagination when it’s a big story on drugs.

It’s an easy thing to point the finger at, and excuse his weird behaviour or his recent bad music.

But it’s fun that first thing people’s minds jump to, is some sort of body-horror nightmare shit where someone is trapped inside themselves for life like a zombie, because of the funny gas.

If it is the case, he'd have spinal cord injury. Most people that abuse (it really is a case of abuse if you ask me) nitrous have less feeling and less control over the legs. And in the end they need a wheel chair. Some recover, but not all.

I’ve been seeing this in recovery circles sometimes. I mean it’s not common but it’s being popping up more recently now that they sell the giant tanks at head shops.

I’ve seen ppl come into NA who are pure NO addicts. They use it like a crackhead uses crack.just taking hits all day. Really compulsive. Literal hippy crack.

They really sell big tanks at head shops? I've never seen that, that's wild. Like how big?

Where are you getting that, "most people". Sure it happens, but if it happened to most people there were would be far more case reports of it in the literature. Generally those that do succumb to such fates are more predisposed to demyelinating diseases/disorders. Massive and heavy enough use will eventually cause serious injury to any mammal, but so can the consumption of water.

I abused it heavily for 18 months, daily, at about a pound of gas a day. When I stopped I was largely unscathed.

Here on bluelight we like to stick to the evidence and not perpetuate drug rumors and urban legends.

So no, just because he doesn't have a spinal cord injury doesn't mean he wasn't heavily abusing nitrous.

I really don't want anything bad to happen to Kanye. However any brain damage he has; he has had for at least 20 years.

Relax.
I was just saying it is possible.
With abuse I mean taking nitrous for hours and hours every weekend. 1 to 2 liter tanks per person. In the Netherlands we have (had maybe) quite a few people that really abused it. Quite a few of them ended up in revalidation centers with permanent damage. That is not a rumor or legend. Sure we are not talking about 100's of people. But it was quite a lot for how innocent nitrous was perceived. It was in the newspapers often.

Good to hear you came out unharmed, but that is certainly not the case for everybody.

Yeah my apologies, I remember feeling a little uppity when I posted that, I recall feeling pissed that entire day for some reason.
