as the title says i have a close friend fhat became assicted to K2(spice) back in 2011 when it was legal.

Now he is still on spice but yeah…i m not sure is the same spice you could found in the shops back in 2011

What are some xomfort meds?
What would it be reccommended?

I am posting this here too.
Hopefully from multiple experiences we can make a list of comfort meds like there is with opiods

To take a comfort meds to ease spice withdrawl U must know what contains that spice...it's not pharmaceutical...and like mdma and lot of other stuff is completely different now in a bad way than years before

Quite frankly i find the title « k2/spice addiction » totally misplaced while i'm also having a hard time trying to figure out what's a « Trigger Warning » to begin with.

The juxtaposition of "addiction" and cannabis is wrong, the concept of "medication" vs "recreative" is a defective defense which implies a consumer needs to allow his own self-esteem being under constant attacks just to get the privilege of accessing practically the safest buzzing dope around, knowing there's no liability as nobody is going to die anyway, euh... I keep re-reading the intro and all that comes to me is a study on CBD which was aborted trying to find out if cannabis could help with true addiction from opioïds. Yet even those who only use cannabis typically fall into the tolerance spiral and, oh well... Don't get me started about that!

Besides, i was having a discussion with some AI about Canada's « légaleezation » just recently and was surprised to observe how it's such a potential tool for those who lack the words and need to name elusive concepts, for example:
Behavioral-Social-Risk-Comparison-across-Substance-Use-Profiles.png

I can't begin to explain how it came to this stunning representation but the thing is it has access to a huge database and its "understanding" of abstract language is beyond my expectations, so perhaps it might be a starting point to initiate one long overdue reflection using words as a powerful communications vector.

The dialog alone works much like a mirror returning to the human party an image of himself so he can progress almost autonomously, with the help of a gentle push.

Of course there are errors accumulating along the dialog process but the algorithm will adjust under human guidance, since it's not really a mind, though the illusion is close. And it can be diverting for sure.

Are you asking for advice on how to get through withdrawals?
not for myself.
i have a friend that basically grew me while parents were to work.
he is bad with the spices, sold everyrhinf in the house. He was to rehab but idk what rhey did but he started right away.
It s impossivle to know what exacrlt in contains the spice he smokes.

This is what i posted in the Other drugs thread, there is still very little info on internet about synthetic Cannabinoid s [ab]use. I never got a tolerance to Cannabis or that what some people reports here reported. Has a horrible addictive nature.

Depends very much of the pattern of usage of your friend. And what scale he/ she scales the power s of synthetic Cannabinoid s have these day s ?

My use was long ago, i stopped cause off warnings here about the full-agonist vs partial. Cannabis/ THC is partial, and that makes it way saver in use, no recorded death s.
Even tasted the OG Spice, which was weaker then the Weed overhear. And a UK version of K11 called Black-Mamba or something alike. 1/6 th of my normal dose of Weed. Was so strong i was wiped of my feet, literally knocked me out [safely]. Sythoid s can put me out, Cannabis can t. You already see where this can end wrong.

Luck is they are water soluble, at least when i used em, around the time AK-48 and 2_NE_1 dis-appeared. Was when i had enough, waying benefit against risk Switched back to Weed. Without Discontinuation Syndrome. Which can occur when dosing 24/ 7, and trying the same i read. So if the person really has the desire to stop.

This are i think the basic solution s. Switch to Weed, my habit was the same as when i smoked. So 3/ 5 times a day max. But many adjust to dosing more often compensating the shortened effect s. Quit year s ago, so how the situation is atm ?
[full vs partial/ duration/ strength ?] => already answered, though maybe compare the strength to Weed other way of looking at it.

Or taper and switch and/ or substitute Cannabis. Another option. AFAIK ?
What is in the back of my mind is that CT from synthoid s is dangerous.
Again this is based on old info. But the reason for including tapering and introducing Weed. No personal experience, despite the short duration i never changed my schedule.

Seem s safer. Other med s, besides don t get addicted to another dangerous substance.
Would probably go for calming agent s: Benzodiazepinen, Pregabalin/ Gabapentin and maybe if possible a Lowering Bloodpressure med Clonidine/ Monoxidine/ Tiazenadine
But i have no experience with their use. They wee used for Cannabis discontinuation syndrome, nicest term i could think off. [tried to put em in order of most addictive to less]

But when needed these.Maybe someone else with [personal] experience can chime in on this with more knowledge. @TheHolyRedCow, , wishes the best. Best choice my opinion.

In US they sell all kinds of intermediates derived from Cannabis. If US maybe a option to look into. Delta-8-THC, Delta-10-THC. I only tried HHC and HHC-p, the latter a sedating kinda THC. Again no [personal experience].
