Greetings.
So... I recently had an accident while on DXM, and while people are going to do what they're going to do.. it couldn't hurt to post my story as a way to say what NOT to do on DXM.
About a week ago I was with my friend, and we decided to do some DXM before proceeding to a party. We each did 600mg. Now, we both have pretty high tolerances, and while we were expecting to get nice and high, we weren't expecting to get wonked out of our minds.
The strange thing about DXM I find, is that sometimes you seem to get REALLY high for no apparent reason, on the exact same dose that last time gave you a chill buzz. I have no idea why, but this has happened to me a couple of times, where I get ridiculously high, even when I have a high tolerance and 9/10 times wouldn't on the same dose. So, this was one of those times.
We were coming up while on public transit, which I have now learned for the last time is a terrible idea on DXM. The trip already had a strange feeling, and we were both having muscle spasms and twitches waay more than we'd expect to have. We continued to get higher while navigating downtown, to the point where we were "robowalking"... staggering and walking with MUCH difficulty. And then it happened out of nowhere. I robotripped. (pun intended.) I fell flat on my face (well to be precise on my chin) on the concrete. I found myself sitting there, high out of my mind, bleeding all over myself with a few chipped teeth.
The fall wasn't terrible.. my chin is healing nicely.. but it's costing me thousands in dental work. Fillings, crowns, and I might even need a root canal. Lesson fucking learned.
So.. just posting this as a warning to all you DXM-users out there. DO NOT do moderate-high doses of DXM while out and about, especially navigating around town. Chances are you may fall even worse than me, and really really regret it. I would say if you're dosing any higher than 300mgs or 3rd plateau, (everyone's body is different).. stay in the comfort of your own room, on your soft bed, where no injuries are likely to occur. Ok, point made.
