So my mom is on Supeudol(10mg Oxycodone HCl) for pain relief and lately i brought her some 25mg CBD candies even tho i read that there are possibilities of interactions with both of them but the information doesn't seem to be clear when it comes to the dosages of each compound that would pose a risk. I've also read that they both synergize with each other but then again, no clear info going into great depth.

My mom told me that the CBD seems to lengthen the pain relief effects of her pills. Recently she asked me to get her 25mg THC/CBD 1:1 candies and i told her to ask her pharmacist if it's actually a good idea because then again, i did a bit of googling and there doesn't seem to be a general consensus ob how bad it is to mix both other than it causing respiratory depression.

I'd really be grateful if anyone could clear the air about it cause my mom doesn't smoke nor is she into weed but that really caught me off guard the other day when she asked me if i could buy her some low dosed THC/CBD candies.

Thanks in advance.

Keep the doses as low as possible please. <3 That's it !!

I smoke weed 24 / 7. But ... only if I am able to. And every chance I get as well.

Anyway the weed intensifies everything ... and yes definitely definitely prolongs the effects and helps synergistic-ally always.

And say prayers with low doses only. ( because they help ) Less will be more in this case.

🙏

Edit : Less is more ( in this case ) I promise sincerely.

Sorry it is late and I am tired but it will it will be very medicinal. Take Care. 🙂

I can't speak for CBD but respiratory depression should only become a problem when she takes excessively large doses of oxy and THC. Though there are worse drugs to combine opiates with. In reasonable dosage THC is known to improve analgesia and also tends to have an antidepressant effect, prolonging patients life's even. Another observed effect is that this combination can lead to a dose reduction of the opiate. And I have to agree with kiely, low doses of THC might be advisable, especially since your mom doesn't have experience with it. 20mg orally can be enough to let someone spiral into a bad experience. Maybe offering a small toke initially might be a more sensible approach rather than a 6+ hour commitment. Also maybe get an oral tincture instead of gummies? You would have bigger control over her dosage.
