The United States supporting our allies is defense... like it or not.

As I said we're lucky to live in a country where you guys can complain all you want and you'll still be protected. Just like when the day comes you need the cops, they'll come too. Even if you think they're pigs and take every luxury we have in this country for granted.

The region has seen almost constant conflict from the inventing of writing and agriculture to what we see know.the sumerians who were the first to civilze the region [when I say region I'm being general about the whole of the middle East not just Iraq and the land of the 2 rivers ] were conquered/assimilated by the akkadians who were then over run by the guti's who were considered no better than animals as they had no gods and apparently ate raw meat .its a land fought over for resources. I could go on but its probably boring to everyone except me.i love ancient history from the time of the Kings list 3000bc ,neo asyrion empire ,bronze age collapse ,hittites and classical Greece .I find roman history quite boring .none of this is gleamed from Wikipedia so I could be wrong on dates etc.dont get me started on troy.
I guess I'm replying in a round about fashion that I'm certain that war happens due to the scarcity of resources, water ,land capable of growing food and the reason we don't see it in our own civilization yet is because we have plenty of them ,but for how long
Personally I think the Human race will regrace in less than 500 years from now.history tells us that .there has never been a long lasting empire that hasn't collapsed mainly due to migration .Egypt had many different kingdoms and they never had planes or submarines that could flatten a city .[at least I don't think ]

We ain't had war on our soil since the Civil War.
Both in terms of geography and alliances, we would be chilling if 10% rather than 50% of taxes went to guns and bombs for our terrorist attacks.

Lol. You ever heard of remittances? There are more people that come to America to work for livable wages and then send that money back home for their family and returning than there are that actually want to come to America to stay. Also, they're not trying to escape socialism. A lot of south American countries are right-wing because of us. Cuba is the only south American state that self identifies as socialist. There goes that argument.
Might as well call the American system communism if we're gonna lie to ourselves.
And notice how neither of you replied when I pointed out that everything militarily we've done since the Civil War was terrorism. You guys are cute together.

Historically America was the only country close enough to take advantage of the resources and financial situation of South America. Recently there have been faster and more efficient methods of transport across the ocean, but only in the past 50 years of our history have anybody else had a presence in South America. We did the large majority of the damage.
