so buzzy and i are moving to stamford, ct
and i was wondering if there are any worthwhile clubs/bars in that area, or do we have to travel to ny or ma to find anything
ive heard that there are some bl'ers in stamford-- reprezent! we'll have to hang out sometime :)
so yea, where are some good places to go and chill or dance

But I'll come out for a drink with you two in the near future.

I'm in Rocky Hill, CT. Connecticut itself really doesn't have that great of a scene. There is "Vibe", in Hartford, but I highly recommend staying far far away from that place. It's a pit filled with clubby, preppy, jackasses that listen to thrive off of trendy hit "techno" songs like "I turn to you". There is the Municipal, which plays decent music and has a decent bar upstairs if your of age, but the people in the "Dungeon" down below are strange to say the least. Not the best of places, but sometimes they have decent dj's show up and have a liquir license now...
New Haven has a lot of half way decent bars that play some good beats. Alchemy has a DnB night and there are a few others in New Haven that aren't bad....that is pretty much it though in CT, but we aren't that far from Asylum in Springfield, MA. I'm sure you know of that already though...
 
LOL we are adding two more to the stamford crew. Welcome to hell :) There is no scene in ct, sorry to dissapoint. Theres plenty of clubs and all but no parties what so ever. ESPECIALLY IN STAMFORD. I lived in stamford for 20 years, and im there everyday now. Maybe i just got used to it, but as far as i know theres nothing good. the stamford clubs are iffy, ive been in premiere and the lava lounge but thats it. We used to have weekly parties at this place called fusion, but they turned that into a rug store ;) There are tons of clubs in the new haven area, but i havent been to any of those either. ct is a state for sitting/driving around smoking, thats about it :P
however I welcome you and i hope to see you around, we are everywhere muahahahahahahahahaha. ;)
 
Everything Maui said is true heh, CT has NOOOOOOOO SCENE at all. But it is still cool to hear BLers coming to CT, and Stamford at that, my lovely home town. The only bad part is ALL of the CT crew on BL graduated and is now heading off to college =(. We shall always come back and party but for the most part we are all heading out. To be honest also, the best place to look for raves when you live in CT (at least southwest CT) is to look for parties in NYC. Most parties i go to that are in NYC are only like 30min-1hour away. If you like clubs though stamford has a good amount. Yup thats about it ^_^

good shit! New peeps in Stamford to chill with. Your welcome at my crib anytime, I'm sure you'll find your way over for an afterparty. If you need any housewarming, I'm happy to bring my decks over and spin some jungle (I need an audience)
Stamford is OK.. NYC is your closest answer for parties and clubs. Though there are some good bars around.
When exactly are you moving to Stamford?

I'm in the same situation Maui...I want to go to that all the time but can never get in cause i'm only 20....whats the big deal, I probably wouldn't even drink anyhow... 3.5 months and I'll be there every weds if the DnB night is still around...

yeah, muni pretty much it... we still have our lil event on the drawing board, once that takes i'll post you details... but mos def house parties are what we've been doing mostly recently.
be sure to let us know when you're in we could arrange a get together or such.

Muni = absolute crap, that place reminds me of what raves would be like if MTV completly took over the rave scene. Everytime ive been there, it has been packed with little trendy kids (all candy ravers with like sponge bob on their shirts) rolling. I dont know i just hate the vibe there with a passion.
