Is it foolish to call God, “Father”?

Don't forget on that Last Day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

None will have an excuse on the day of judgement, not even one.

"So my advice is, leave these men (Christians) alone. Let them be. For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. However, if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You will only be found fighting against God." Acts 5:38-39

Off your bent knee. I think the Lord has had enough of your lip.

Do not come and do your childish fear mongering around me my friend. Your theology sucks, from a moral POV that is..

Revelations was written by Paul, was it not?

As was Acts, etc..

So you believe what Paul said as being true?

Slaves be good, women are subordinate to men, they should not shave their head or speak in church.. If they wish to learn they must be a good lil house wife and politely ask husband at home.

Lovely.

Revelation was written by John. Acts was written by Luke.

It's pointless for me to continue this discussion with people who claim to know the Bible and its history when they really don't. Before you have a debate and argue a topic it would be wise to do some research.

Let me understand this. You say Jesus and God are the same.

That would mean that it was a suicide and not a sacrifice. Right?

Why would God having himself killed appease his own wrath against humans?
What is the connection?

Why then go through that charade? Why did God not just forgive without punishing the innocent instead of the guilty?

It's all bullshit, the whole story is all about shoving square pegs into round holes.

He sacrifices himself, onto himself, to appease himself so we don't have to go to hell for something we didn't do, that he created in the first place.

Where's my shovel?

You can scrap Calvinism right off the bat. I'm not interested in debating denominations, lets stick to what the Word actually says.

You find it "metaphysically difficult" for God to do what he did? If God is GOD he can do anything. God isn't bound by any laws of physics. He created them. He is above everything, higher and stronger than the most powerful forces in the universe.

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Nothing is too difficult for me." Jeremiah 32:27

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37
If he is all powerful and unbounded, and nothing is impossible with god, why doesn't he just prove that he exists?
Maybe it's because there is no god?

What kind of proof would you like? Do you want to put God under a microscope so we can observe his attributes to verify what he does and who he is?

Ridiculous! Nonsense. 8)

I'll give you an example of how powerful God is. Look at the sun. Can't look for very long can you? It burns your eyes. Imagine the sun, its power and heat, multiply that by infinity. God is greater than even the most catastrophic forces in the universe.

God can't even reproduce with Asherah. He is so weak it is no wonder he can't pop up.

Man can reproduce and that is man being more powerful than God.

Are you suggesting that reproduction is a measurement of strength? In that case there are insects more powerful than we are since they some can reproduce at 100+ times the rate than we can.

Then they too are more powerful in reproduction ability than God.

Reproduction is not strength as in strong but is just showing an ability that refutes omnipotence or God being all powerful.

I just show that your God is not as shown and is not all powerful. Ants are more powerful in terms of reproduction.

Yeah, er yes, but we must produce this god first, can't even find zues for christs sake!

Do you have any other proof other than calling disbelief 'ridiculous nonsense'?

Now that's nonsense, an argument from ignorance!

I didn't say disbelief was nonsense, I'm saying if you want physical proof of God that's ridiculous. Really, you didn't answer my question though, what proof do you want? What would satisfy you?

Isn't it like this:

The One
(Mysterious Creator of all Creators)

Prime Creator (of our Universe and all its dimensions)

Mother-Father God
(The actual Creators of everything we see or the closest to what we can call "God" - The God and Godess - the masculine and feminine principle or the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine)

That is how I intellectually view the concept of "God"

Then there are also smaller "gods", or beings of higher consciousness belonging to higher dimensions than us, which we might view as gods.

- Ascended Masters or Enlightened human souls (like Jesus, St. Germain)
- Angels and Archangels (like Archangel Michael or Lucifer)
- Devas or Elementals (like Pan or Titania - popularly been viewed as "Fairies")

I've always wondered how my thread about Elementals ended up getting closed, when there are endless sources describing the existence of these beings and this kingdom. I guess it just ended up with too many arguments from people who just don't believe in it, like many of my threads, but it's actually an interesting subject many might have been interested learning more about.

Some Theosophy writers teach there are actually 7 types of created souls and not just the human - but only 3 are generally known in our world: Humans, angels, and devas.

Devas are the invisible builders and life-givers/conscienceness-givers of the Universe, while angels mostly work with assisting humans, though both incarnate in human bodies (about 1% of 1 of 100 of each).

I can often recognise angels (so many in my family), but devas are a bit more tricky, though they can appear very similar and be mistaken for each other. The stereotypical deva would be someone like Bjork (they are very creative/artistic as their role is to create or that's what they were made for).

Devas are also sometimes classed as the lowest level of the angelic kingdom who can evolve into angels when they develop a real heart and compassion for humans.

Until then they are a bit more cold and tend to live in their own world. Though they can be very loving, but more for the joy it brings to themselves, without so much care for the one they love.

They have a special power to "enchant" and can be widely adored while angels are good at inspirering love or winning hearts (but God help you if you abuse these abilities).

This is simply proof that things exist in the universe which are immensely powerful, such as stars. Which is in itself so phenomenally amazing that realizing it is a spiritual experience (for me anyway).

I believe that "god" is the sum total of existence that we are all a part of. We are all the universe experiencing itself subjectively in infinite variations. This is "god", not some singular entity sitting on high judging and controlling. "god" is a term used to explain existence for those with no greater means of understanding how we got here and what we're a part of. Now we do have such a means, science, which has revealed to us many of the secrets of the universe. To me, science and spirituality are merging on the leading edge of cosmology and quantum physics, on the greatest macro- and micro-scales we currently understand.

It means plenty to my reality. It shapes the way I perceive everything, and thus, it shapes my reality. It alters every single day of my existence because this realization brings me a tremendous amount of joy and beauty. I could have a very different life if I had gone down a path that led me into fear, hatred and darkness (or in other words, fear).

^Could not have said it better Xorky :)

Indeed. But at the end of the day, it says nothing.

Even if we are the universe, big deal. it means nothing to our reality to know we are the universe.

A counter logical claim DL. To know what we emerged from and what we actually are is surely at the heart of the spiritual quest...? It provides context, and not much else, true- but context can allow for more informed and reasoned extrapolation, assumption, musing and knowledge, it can provide comparison and indicate causal relationships where not much else can do so.

But as Xorkoth said, an understanding of our correct part in the universe and earth (and I mean that we are not outsiders/abominations to nature, but correct and 'expected' parts of it) can add meaning and joy to ones life; and that sort of positive only a madmen would reject. (I may very well have spent much of my life rejecting my spot in this fucking lunacy as have many here).

But then I oscillate between deciding that we are indeed outside of nature and almost unnatural back to understanding that we are part of nature, universe, void, matter, etc.

'Fucked if I know' is a relevant epilogue to all of my posts I think...
