It's definately the same stuff, common human medications are also used in the veterinary field. If it makes you feel better my friend aquired 60x 600mg gabapentin pills from an online pet pharmacy and they worked fine.

Also, as shamed as I am to admit it, I've taken my cats buprenorphine after she had surgery :(. She had more than enough doses and was completely layed out for two days wasted from what medication was at hand so once she was up and running again I indulged in the last .25mg dose, idk why though knowing that .25 mgs isn't gonna do much if anything (which is what happened btw, threshold if that). Felt quite silly, I don't reccomend this kind of behavior lol.

Believe what you will, gabapentin is gabapentin lol. Same thing with doggy tramadol as well, the person my mother used to take care of had a dog on tramadol. You can't just modify a drug for dogs and label it gabapentin, I'm sure a google search would resolve any suspicion.

I'm quite surprised that it's sold on (that site) as well, first time hearing about it. Has anyone actually tried ordering from the site that (said site) directs to? I would imagine it would ask for a veterinary prescription before shipping any meds. Afaik they can get into trouble otherwise, it's not like (said site) is stocking it themselves, the site directs you to a veterinary iop.

Edit: This is quickly becoming source discussion so I edited the name of the site in question, despite it's popularity...

Ketamine is veterinary..

yes, it's the same chemical. There's no reason to belive otherwise

yep same chemical, just to add a few stories

my friends dog was prescribed morphine (lucky poodle that was) and when the dog passed away he gave me the box he had left with like 50 10mg MSIRs, they were fineee

I worked in veterinary medicine(as a tech)for years and I can assure you that it's the same medication. In fact,we used lots of human meds for animals.Eveything from the diazapam and phenobarbitol to insulin was the same.Another little tidbit some may not be aware of:animals cannot metabloize NSAIDs like APAP and ibuprofen,it would kill them.Therefor the hydrocodone we stocked was plain hydro only, not a combination product.Kind of like Roxis but with hydro.I only mention this little fun fact because I've often heard it said that hydro comes as a combination product only and I thouht this might be a neat piece of trivia for those who didn't know.

Im still not understanding how one can buy veterinarian gabapentin for less than $25 for a 90 day supply - but it costs me $37 for a 30 day supply of the same stuff.

Gabapentin is gabapentin. the only difference is dogs get less milligrams usually

Generally vet medication is held to a lesser standard than human meds but is functionally equivalent... see also people abusing fish antibiotics.

I took dog drugs once, I haven't stopped barking since.

You know you have hit rock bottom when you are taking your dog's drugs lol.

I've also taken doggie pain pills in the past (tramadol) and I never felt a difference. However, I do recall researching this same sort of question before I tried it the first time.
I read that canine pills aren't usually as pure as their human equivalents since there is much greater oversight when the species being catered to can file law suits
if they fuck it up.
