Is Burning While Going #2 During Opiate Withdrawal Normal?

So I figured I would just ask this here since I think this may be in a different class of symptoms that others saying they have a burning sensation after passing stool / going #2 .

I am day 3, which I believe is the peak and how bad it will be and maybe slightly worse, but I believe this is how bad it will get , and then stay this way and slowly decrease in symptoms for Suboxone withdrawal. I am taking Kratom each day to suppress withdrawal symptoms and I can't say how much this stuff is doing to help. I know if I didn't have this my withdrawals would be so much more painful and unbearable, but they are still uncomfortable and bad, but not nearly as bad as I thought and I know I can do it.

ANYWAYS, yesterday and today .. just a few minutes ago, I went to the bathroom and I had a burning while taking a dump.. I believe it would be attributed to being off of suboxone because when on Suboxone I wouldn't go to the bathroom every day, it would be every other day or less frequent than that. So with this, I feel that possibly me going every day like I used to.. it is making my anus work a lot more and not used to more frequent expanding and streching.

I feel this is it because I did not have these everyday, I barely had this. It was every once in a while if I had one that was very large. Yesterday, it was very large and there was some blood on the toilet paper due to it being large, so I am guessing due to the size it causes a slight tear and therefore it did not heal by today and then going today it then made it tear again, causing the burning.... So I am thinking that is what it is, but I am unsure and wanted to see what others would have to say.

Thank you!

EDIT: Also.. this is quite strange. My withdrawal, as I said I am taking Kratom and it DOES suppress the wd symptoms A LOT, not all of it, but A LOT... I was feeling much more anxious, fidgety, etc. and then I went to the bathroom and unleashed that and now.. I feel like a LOT better. THe withdrawal symptoms seemed to go down a really good amount with it.. why is that? I am confused.

It would make sense if I didn't take the Kratom 3 1/2 hours ago, because my bowels/stomach would be empty and that would be the first thing to go into my system, but I would think the Kratom would already be in my system. So how come when I did that my symptoms had calmed down a lot?? Anyone else ever experience this?

Honestly sometimes during opiate WD my ass burns and I attribute it to the numerous times that I go #2. Because opiate withdrawal gives you the runs you are constantly going and wiping and I believe all the wiping leaves your behind raw.

Withdraw causes diarrhea. When your body rids itself of all waste,it starts to become pure acids that are coming out of your rectum. The acid burns the rectum,on top of frequent wiping...YOU MUST DRINK PLENTY OF WATER...Try to eat bread and crackers,if you can keep them down.

I have no diarehha.. luckily. Thank the Kratom gods I don't have that and if i do... Loperamide is where I will turn first.

Odd , never have I ever had the runs or diraehha through Opaite withdrawal from OCs, or Heroin.. and I guess I can say Bupe, but don't want to speak too soon. Thank kratom....

If you find yourself taking shits a lot, I highly highly recommend getting some good toilet paper. It might just save your ass. Literally.

Wiping with sand paper just isn't going to do it.

I really don't want to get into a debate on this but wiping with toilet paper only is the most unhygienic of toilet habits. One must either hose, use a bidet, or even a shower if that's not available, then lastly wipe.

Wiping alone only removes the feces on the surface leaving you with a 'stingy ringy' 8)

I've noticed this 'stingy ringy' since I was a child. I wish I had one of those toilets that squirted water at your ass when you flushed. :P

If you have a shower I don't think you need to wipe with toilet paper afterwards. Baby wipes are convenient too, you can get little packs of hypoallergenic baby wipes (buy the big refill packs to save money and then just refill the little pack) so you can carry them around with you easily. This is a lot easier for many people than using a bidet or shower after every time they go to the toilet. Some people also wash with a wash-cloth and sink but then you have to make sure you can properly sterilize it afterwards so that can be a pain in the ass (no pun intended, lol).

I would also recommend a natural hemorrhoid ointment (even if you don't actually have hemorrhoids - it's soothing and healing) to apply to the area after each bowel movement.

And be careful with what you eat, it's going to burn a lot more if you are eating hot sauce than whole grains for example. Don't eat acidic or spicy things, drink lots of water and get lots of fiber.

Butthurt during opioid withdrawal is caused by the fact that opioids slow your digestive system and stopping them speeds it up. So you may be going more frequently, you may be shitting out compacted feces from being constipated while you were taking opioids (which can be painful, tear the anus or cause hemmorhoids, etc) your food might not be getting fully digested, and so on.

Yah I meant wiping after hosing or using a bidet to dry the area. With showering you obviously wouldn't need to wipe because your drying with a towel. Misworded, my bad.

All great points though, especially the baby wipes.

On a side note: in some nations it's customary to rub black tar opium on hemorrhoids.

Anytime ur in opiate withdrawals, the reason it burns is due to how much ur goin to the bathroom.Im constantly on the toilet if im withdrawing. Its been awhile since Ive delt with that because Im on a methadone treatment plan. Also, your liver is dumping tons of toxins out of your system when withdrawing,so thats another reason for the burning.Imodium helps to make you go to the bathroom less....Hope this helps

Yes, OP, I concur with the others about the wipes. In fact, not to get too detailed but I haven't used toilet paper in years. I buy the flushable wipes sold at <snip>.

The use of a a hemorrhoid ointment is also excellent advice; however, if you don't have any hand, plain petroleum jelly would suffice. Also, if you will use a bit of petroleum jelly prior to having a bowel movement, it will make your wiping experience, regardless of what you use to do so, much cleaner and less work intensive.

Lastly, I wonder if you might share the dose at which you jumped off the Suboxone? And your Kratom strain and dose (including frequency) if you don't mind. I'm about to jump off 7mg of methadone, and I can't decide if Kratom is worth using for the awful withdrawals I will surely feel or not. I vacillate from believing that all the glowing online success stories are disingenuous "plants" by suppliers; then I read a post such as yours which seems quite genuine. In addition to the Kratom, I have some Clonidine, Xanax, Gabapentin (Neurontin) and some Zofran for nausea. I have absolutely no support system and no one to assist me, so I'm hoping for the best.

Thank you, OP--I hope you feel better, and I wish you much luck in your detox.
