This isn't a trip report but I must unveil at least part of the trip to have you understand my question.
You can skip the into which is just me describing how I got to this point of hallucinating:
I had been smoking some herb kindly with a friend got fairly high, on my way home stopped at a friends house ended up smoking a giant jay which got me +++ stoned. I started having a bad trip tho, I was nodding out almost like from opiates ( I am on suboxone) and I was getting a very nauseated feeling, which I never have gotten from weed. I started feeling very light headed and felt as if I needed to throw up. I gagged a few times and left immediately for home. Once home i felt slightly better but very high.
I layed down, closed my eyes and noticed these intense patterns. Focusing on the patterns images started to emerge from the nonsense. I thought they were random at first, but I noticed by thinking about them I could change them into whatever image I wanted, pumpkin, banana, each item would emerge and do some random thing like disappear or fly away like a power point slide transition. While focusing on them I could feel my "third eye"( that I feel during mostly mushroom trips/ but some LSD trips) sort of lock on to the images I could feel them in my head. It then turned into a random array of extremely fast moving cartoons, I could clearly see several 2d dog characters doing random things like driving a car etc a whole 15 min cartoon sketch playing at 10x normal speed, with music and a person singing cartoons like.
Now to my connection. This experience I had with weed reminded me almost exactly to a more cognitive state of Hypnagogia which is dreaming while being conscious with only 2d random images. The only difference was that the closed eyed hallucinations/dreams during Hypnagogia should be without narrative and my cartoon hallucination was narrated to a point but not completely since it was extremely fast.
Could the weed have unlocked my abbility to dream/imagine openly and vividly??
It honestly felt like I was tapping into a television broadcast the waves hitting my 3rd eye and projecting it to my brain.
