insane munchies [and how to avoid them]

Holy shit last night I had crazy munchies after just one bowl. I ate and ate until my stomach hurt, but I still wanted to eat...then I remembered the FUCKING HAAGEN DAZS IN THE FREEZER!!! It was like pure joy, my heart lept. Today my guts feel broken.

Any creative ways to AVOID the munchies?
 
hahaha Jiffylube I personally, and im sure almost everyone here has been in this situation countless number of times.

especially when the next morning when you see all the wrapers and packaging and your just like "holy shit i ate a ton"

i find it helps if you eat before you smoke, maybe thats just me though
 
Sometimes you just can't avoid a hardcore munch out session :)

Not too much you can do about it.......

Try and eat veggies or fruit if your going to go nuts in the kitchen......at least you wont feel so shitty the next morning.

Or if it really becomes an issue, some hoodia cactus will practically kill the munchies. If you decide to try hoodia, make sure you get it from a reputable place online(there are a couple) and be sure it's JUST hoodia and no caffeine or other shit.
 
You know it must be really extreme munchies when you end up eating so much that you barf, and not even a minute after your puking pounds of food up your back in the kitchen getting more... :)
 
After smoking, I find that once you eat that first bite of food, you're done for. It's only a matter of time before you end up eating something else. So my advice would have to be:

1) Try and clear your mind of thoughts about food

and

2) Avoid that first bite until at least a couple hours after you get baked.

Just try not to look at the food and get your mind off it. I never get the munchies, but once I see something to eat I cant stop eating it. (of course only after some herbage :P) also try putting a note on your door/fridge saying "dont get more food stoner!" :P

Hunger Suppression comes from to things. Your stomach content , how empty it is ...
And how much your brains are measuring for blood sugar content. It these two criteria are met, then you get hungry.

To avoid munchies, keep your blood sugars at check (as cannabis lowers blood sugar levels by promoting insulin secretion) with some light juice that has some sugars, not too sugary (sugar raises insulin that causes blood sugar to drop even more).

And fill your empty stomact with something low calorie stuff, like milk products,
Fromage frais , that is high in protein content , and contains no fat, and no carbohydrates that would raise your insulin levels.

Many times I have drinked about 0.7 liters of energydrink grapefruit juice mix and then felt a bit hungry after the "session" but not so badly anymore.


If I won't sugarize me, the high is starting soon to become a stoned ride to nottingess.
 
Yeah, psychedelic portion of cannabis high enhances tastes and odours a lot. Food seams to taste better, if you get excited of this, you might want to taste every available food you have.

A rookie thing , I might say.
 
i don't think there is such a literal way to avoid getting hungry, i see it as an inevitable thing when cannabinoids literally stimulate your appatite and denounce stomach discomfort.. i can't see that theres much you can do to "stop" hunger when your ingesting a chemical that has a property of stimulating your stomach.. there is will power though, gain that control!

what helps though is timing your cannabis consumption to land on the exact time you would be eating a major meal of the day anyway.. like lunch or dinner, that way.. though you could still call it the munchies.. you'd be at that kitchen table on a normal night without weed..

Smoke mostly indicas so you get hecka blazed and when you get the munchies you will be glued to the chair, and you won't want to move to get food even if the fridge is a few feet away.
